Rockets fans just want to get out of the first round. No rockets fan should care how hard an opponent is for another team. That pick is more valuable than the Pelicans giving GSW a good game in the playoffs.
Thunder lack the inside presence to truly challenge Golden State I think the Pels and AD do have the ability to work the inside If the Rockets Faces Golden State - we need to pound Bogut Attack him relentlessly Rocket River
Idk, I like the idea of new blood in the playoffs in the Pellies. I realize we want a higher pick, but it'd be pretty funny if OKC misses the playoffs after all of that Russell hype.
Man, Curry got away with a travel/double dribble that last play. Isaiah Thomas knows what's up! Calling the travel!!
The way the Thunder have been playing the only game I see them winning is the Twolves game and even that one will be tough for them.
A win tonight could be as bad as a loss. They already have the tie-break against the Thunder and if Thunder lose another game or 2, Pelicans will probably have it clinched by that last game so they would just rest their starters.
I'd bet money 'Curry' is his MVP Rocket River Count down to him stabbing the Rockets in the back again . . . . .in . 1. . . .2. .. 3...
What extra game? If your talking about the 8th seed: New Orleans Pelicans 42-35 Oklahoma City Thunder 42-35 So one game does make a difference. If you are talking about Gsw vs NO possible macthup and saying that No would only win a game, I disagree. Teams that shoot 3pt like us and GSW, if they don´t have an interior presence they will struggle in the playoffs. You see, come playoff time everyone contests 3pt shots, there is no "where is curry?", everyone is on him and other 3pt threats. You need someone that can score inside, that is why D12 is crucial whether you like his post moves or not. Having said that, who can stop AD? question is can perimeter guys shoot the open 3. Fair enough, I just believe GSW is not as untouchable in a 7 game series as you guys.
Maybe. A lot of that depends on what happens tomorrow night at Memphis. If the Pelicans pull that one off, the scenario you laid out could happen where New Orleans clinches a playoff spot BEFORE they host the Spurs. Of course, a win at Memphis also helps us, so I won't exactly complain about that. Now if they lose tomorrow and the Rockets take care of business against them on Sunday, assuming they win their other two games(home for the Suns, at Minnesota) while OKC wins 2 out of their next 3(definitely possible), the Pelicans do have a lot on the line in that final game against San Antonio. Odds are good OKC can beat the T'Wolves on the road in their season finale, so New Orleans would have to knock off the Spurs to hold onto the 8th seed.
Dude. We are talking about the NEW ORLEANS PELICANS How many of those guys have real playoff experience? Asik (who inexplicably rides the pine during key moments)? Everything you mentioned is NOT a given when it comes to a squad like theirs If Pels make the playoffs, I'll make a $20 tipjar bet with you that the series ends in a gentleman's sweep (at best) --------------

Warriors lost tonight, but have top seed & final 4 games are at home, so they be at home for 13-14 days til game 3 of 1st rd series.
— Adam Wexler (@awexler) April 8, 2015

When has he ever back stabbed the Rockets? He really doesn't talk about the Rockets, unless directly asked about how he thinks Howard, Harden or them as a team is performing. Even then, its more or less positive. Plus, he's at game pretty regularly and even shows up to some practices in the offseason. Has a good relationship with James, Dwight and Les. I haven't heard him say anything bad about the Rockets, ever.. He isn't Charles Barkley.
They're not untouchable. They're also not losing to New Orleans in a 7 game series. I'd give that series 6 games at most, but that is probably generous.
Why so emotional bro, I just expressed my opinion on the subject, and IMO GSW is not as dominant on a playoff environment as you think, and my opinion is based on the fact that they are not a balanced team offensively when it come to inside outside matchups. You have a different opinion, that is ok, there is no need to come at me and talk about betting, it almost feel like you are not that sure about that opinion but you feel the need to make people think that you are willing to bet money on it. I am not saying that is the case because I don´t know you, but please keep this discussion on a forum posting bases.
