The MVP thing is not about about being the best player on the best team. If that was the case, Chauncey Billups would have won one.
You have to play a minimum of 5 players on the court at all times. If you has a player with no arms and the team went 10-0 you could make the arguement "where would we be if he didn't play? " Youre right though. Harden actually does have a great group of guys that compliment him very well. Ariza has been the only player except Harden that has pretty much played a full season this year so it's hard to say whether or not Harden can continue doing this without Ariza.. When Howard went out...Rockets thrived, when the Rockets had no bench the Rockets thrived, when pat bev and Jones were out the Rockets continued on. When DMO went out the Rockets still won. Odds are if Ariza went out Harden would still find a way to win. That's what MVPS do and that is what Harden has been doing. However, I think Hardens life would be exceptionally more difficult without Ariza
An honest questionnaire here: Before the start of the season if someone told you player A is playing at a top 5 level, his team has the best record and beaten Player B's team, who's also playing top 5 level, all four times pretty easily. Who would you vote for without knowing the name of those player as the season mvp? I vote for player A. But let's throw in an asterisk next to player B stating that he played with a much more banged up starting lineups than player A. Is that enough to vote for player B? My follow up question to that asterisk would be, "Does player B's team has great roster dept?" If it's yes, then it shouldn't be enough to vote for player B. That's why Harden won't win it.

doc im sure has to be tired of the curry hype... cp3 has taken his game to another level since the "overhyped crossover" heard round the world
Magic honestly says the dumbest ****. Dude needs to get a grip, no player is more valuable to their team than James Harden, Morey may be a dumbass with his mouth/tweets sometimes but he was 100% correct when he said Rockets would be in the ****ter without James
wow refs were tryin to inbound the ball without going to the replay center.... thank god for draymon green,.... that ball was clearly off tyreke
Ehh, he has been trying to drive the DJ for DPoTY award since the 2013 offseason. Not surprising haha
Westbrook's been eliminated from the MVP for a while now. Tonight was much better for his scoring title chances. Curry played really well and had some crazy plays, but didn't pull out the win, which I guess helps slightly. I still am pretty convinced he is going to be gifted the award regardless of what happens from here until the end of the season.
