If you want a chuckle, click on his tweet and look at his logic (about Curry sitting out fourth quarters). I know the pseudo analysts will never make it past the box scores, but all you have to do is adjust Harden and Curry's numbers per 36 minutes and you'll see that they're about the same.

Curry led his team to the NBA's best record & the thing I'm most impressed with is that he makes his teammates better.
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) April 7, 2015
I think the whole best player on best team is a flawed argument. Kevin Durant was the best player on the 2nd best team (record wise) last year when he won. If anyone goes with that argument than Kawhi Leonard should have won MVP.
Harden sucks. Clearly can't wave his magic wand like Curry and keep all his players healthy. That's why the Rockets are barely in the playoff hunt and the Rockets aren't win....wait a second...
I am not hating on Curry but If Bogut is out .. .they are pedestrian and would not get home court in the 1st round Rocket River
"Makes his teammates better." That's his freaking job. That's tablestakes for a point guard. How about a shooting guard who is the point guard?
And there's a reason one player is forced to play much more minutes while the other player doesn't have to. Harden's team loses leads when he's off the court. Curry's team doesn't. Is that not a valid reasoning concerning whose more valuable?
Harden I think . . is ahead of him in the Amount of Points he responsible for Points + Assists seems to favor Harden I think they have to make up the 'hockey' assist to try and make curry's case better Rocket River
Ha! The hate on harden is ridiculous. 28 ppg 7ast 2stls shoots 38% from three and has the 3rd best record in the nba. Give me a freaking break. Hand the man his trophy.
Curry for mvp over harden? Lol not the first time he made a bad choice. *cough magic johnson theater by northline mall
No matter what happens, Toyota Center needs be rocking with "MVP" chants every time Harden touches the ball throughout the duration of the playoffs. Houston can at least acknowledge what the media and other fans won't.
Agreed. Houston fans have faith in Harden. It honestly doesn't matter what the rest of the country/world thinks because they aren't the one's passionately watching his play. When the playoffs come I think we will see a spike in people saying "Wow Harden is freaking awesome!" Until then...people's opinions will be based on what other (biased) people tell them instead of making an assessment of their own. Sad
The Cavs was something like 2-8 when Lebron sat right? So Love and Irving are just total scrubs? There is nothing wrong to point out whose the most important player in that team, but to discount his teamates totally is just purely wrong.
Love and Irving are unable to lead their respective teams to the playoffs as the singular star. the 2-8 record together and without LeBron is a testament to LeBrons importance for that team. They definitely aren't scrubs by any means but they can't handle loads, their stats do not represent the caliber of a player they are, and you can most definitely discount his teammates only in the sense that it can be believed that without LeBron that Kyrie and Kevin would be unable to propel the Cavs into the playoffs. So the argument in James Harden's favor is still valid. If James Harden plays absolutely zero games this year it is hard to believe that they would have a chance for a playoff spot. Who knows. Maybe they overachieve but odds have it that they would be a bottom 10 team in the league.
Well, look at it from another point of view. If Ariza does not play a game this year, will the Rockets still be in this position? Or could we be in the 7th seed just like the Mavs? Don't forget we are just about 1-2 games different with other 5 teams. Without Josh and Brewer, same could be happened. Even Sharp mentioned this : the way the Rockets played this season, they rely on the "spare parts" to keep them in the game and then let Harden take over at the end. Without these "spare parts" to keep you in the game, you don't even have a chance at the end.
