If the game can't be played then the day after is left unscheduled so that it may be made up promptly.
Never thought about it but that makes total sense. Weather can certainly be an issue during the spring in many of the cities that have outside stadiums.
As I mentioned on the Astros site, I was a little surprised at the lineup. I know he hinted putting Springer in the 2 spot, so that wasn't the shock, but having Valbuena hitting 3rd was a 'bit of a surprise to me. Not complaining, just was caught a little off guard. I was hoping for this line up.. 2B - Altuve SS - Lowrie RF - Springer 1B - Carter DH - Gattis C - Castro 3B - Valbuena CF - Mariznick (Just to add a right handed hitter between the numerous left handed hitters in the bottom of the lineup LF - Colby Oh well, not going to complain at all, the line up could be a huge success and will definitely give Hinch a lot of credit for coming up with it.
WWW. So happy it's baseball season again. Can't wait to see the new squad tear it up this season. GO STROS!
I like Altuve in front of Springer. If Altuve is on first, there is a huge hole between the first baseman and second baseman if the opposing team shifts.
Very likely naw. Even if he tears up AA and AAA, it would be very surprising if he wears an Astros uni this season.
Awesome. Wish I was able to skip out of work today. Yes...I'm Jelly. Have fun. I've always wanted to make an opening game. Maybe next season. 0_o

I've always wondered why they had a train full of basketballs out there. Keuchel is dealing so far. Flashed a little of that gold glove leather just then too.
