Iran: No deal reached, only framework; Iran can still enrich

There's a difference between enriching uranium to 90% which is what you need to make a weapon and enriching it to 3.5% which can not be used to make a weapon despite what some on here claim.

This question reflects such a naive and simple-minded view of the world that comes from being fed a lot of fox news. That the people in these countries are so blind and dumb and have no clue what they are doing. Iran is seeking regional influence and power. They aren't going to start world war III in their own backyard.

Do we need to? Look, you have your Islam/Middle East thing- that's fine. I've been to Iran, I've had to listen to stories about Iran since 1984 (well, not "had" to, since I frequently asked), and the big picture message I get is that Americans do get some things right about Iran- but not most. And that you'll never convince some Americans that their views are off- no matter how much evidence you give. We have a buddy who's anti everything Middle East (actually, Iran really isn't considered part of the M.E.), and there's nothing we can say to him to convince him that not everyone is over there burning American flags. I don't know what to say- I don't doubt you're right about several things, but when you're not, I have a hard time believing you'd ever accept it.

 

I have posted on another thread that I would be a lot more optimistic about Iran managing to have a democratic civil society than, e.g., Saudi Arabia. One major reason is that they indeed had one.

 

You see, I am trying to have an intelligent conversation and you immediately chime in with the insults. What this tells me is that you may have character flaws you need to work on- and I agree with the other poster- you seem to be a bit too hateful. Some of us are working on our anger management issues- some of us need to start.
