I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here. The current sanctions only go away AFTER Iran dismantles a bunch of stuff that doesn't allow them to generate material usable in a bomb. And if there's ever a report that they are reconstituting anything, the sanctions come back.

So the incentive for Iran is that the sanctions only go away after they comply and that is verified. This was this element people felt they would never cave on, and the primary reason many skeptics are so excited by the deal.

Given the fact that you only recently discovered Mosaddegh, I posit that you are the one who needs the education.

Given the fact that you are an IT admin that tries to act like he is an expert on Iranian history (and everything else), I posit that you need to get off your high horse - everyone can pretend to be an expert on everything on a BBS.

I said that I just read about it - that doesn't mean I "only recently discovered" him.

In fact, I grew up on a street with other kids (doctor's children) who were from Iran and had to flee the country after 1979 (because they were close to the Shah's family). So I was exposed to Iran and its history at an early age.

Chiles, I don't think, I now know, that you don't have the first clue about your on-line obsession. I'm legitimately surprised. I would have given you the benefit of the doubt that you at least knew the broad outlines of recent ME history.

I could post about the about the regional fall out from destroying a model for democracy in an Islamic country, etc, but you don't even have the basic framework to participate in the conversation. So, instead, you'll continue to bleat on about what does or doesn't "justify" "Islamism".

The children used coloured pens to paint "Death to Khomeini" on our street. I didn't really understand it at the time, I remember that it really irritated me to see someone doing something like that.

If one of those clowns win the presidency we are probably going to war. Iran is one of the 3 countries left without a Rothschild central bank. Iraq and Afghanistan didn't get one until after 9/11 (Ironically). Plus Iran wants to back global currency with gold. The foreign policy bomb talk is just a curtain that the public isn't looking behind.

North Korea and Cuba are the other two countries and Cuba may be on their way to getting one. Use whatever search engine you have and look it up since you seem to find everything else.

And look up what it would mean for countries in the western world like the US and Germany with gold backed global currency while you're at it.

Wow, what a r****d Remii is. I just googled these idiotic Rothschild conspiracy theories...one of the things they say is that the Bundesbank in Germany is owned by Rothschild. This is so over the top ridiculous that you have to be an extreme anti-semite and an idiot at the same time to believe something like this.

The dumbass should just read this:

ROFL @ you believing that the fact that I work in IT means that I have no expertise in any other areas.

I haven't ever pretended to be an expert on Iran, but I do know enough to appreciate some of the reasons that many Iranians don't appreciate American foreign policy.

And yet you still don't seem to understand the region, its religions, or its history at all. You regularly conflate the opinions of a few as those of over a billion people and actually seem to believe that Islam itself is the problem, rather than the minuscule percentage of people who commit atrocities purportedly in its name.

It does no good to be exposed to something if you don't learn anything from it. I've known a number of Iranian immigrants and they painted a far different story of their region and religion than you do.

Why you use "r****d"? You don't realize that is a highly offensive word to use?

Well as long as we're firing away, I think you both smart and dumb.

Half the time, you're a smartass, and the other half, you're a dumb****.

My two best friends are from Iran. They told me the other day that it is a very joyous time in Iran over this, particularly b/c the sanctions from a few years ago really crippled their economy. Other than that, they're kind of conflicted. They love their country, but they're sometimes wary of their government.

Sort of like how we are, if we're being honest. I would welcome peace, but not at the cost of protecting our country. I can't really say much b/c I haven't been on top of this, to be honest. Just as a general rule, I think peaceful means should always be the best option.
