Double standards. No one had a problem when white people were going crazy over the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge or the Harlem Shake viral sensation.

Not really the same but related. Bias is ingrained. Years of social engineering by media, suburban separation has caused people to view groups of young blacks to get tagged as "thugs", "criminals" if they do the same dumb things as white teens. White teens could be recorded doing the same thing and (some) folks will say, "Stupid kids" but not say "put poison needles in their hood".

 Not sure if I've had enough coffee this morning for my sarcasm detector...

Because causing thousands of $$$ in damage is the same as pouring ice cold water on your head.....

I agree that these kids need to learn life lessons, but that's for the parents to teach. That's not the school's responsibility.

why aint it the school's responsibility too? the internet surrounds us, binds us. we do everything online now. you want school's to avoid teaching kids about something so important, used all the time?

I just didn't think it was funny. They need to come up with something more entertaining.

So I guess raising money for ALS is the same as tearing up property?

School's still shouldn't be responsible for teaching their kids to not be dumbasses.

The school (as stated before) blocks almost everything inappropriate now a days. You can spot any 10 year old and age higher with a new cell phone on the streets.

That's where they get the access to twitter, vine, instagram, FB and other social media outlets that are subjective to this behavior. The parents don't monitor their usage so why should the school.. it's just a way of keeping their kids quiet and still most of the time.

I wouldn't give my kids cells at that age and if I did it would be restricted to calling me, my wife, or another family member in case of emergencies.

You're expecting too much from our public school systems.
