Detroit has Greg Monroe becoming an Unrestricted FA, I bet somebody pays him, and it's not Detroit (Drummond Gang). Trade DMo to Detroit for Jennings since Reggie Jackson will re up with them and I doubt Jennings wants to split mins with him. Go After Scola. I've thought about something like this too Re: acquiring Jennings. However it would require him knowing that he is (at best) option 3 on offense and that he will actually have to become a halfway decent defender. Jennings would be on the last year of his deal but I think we would get his Bird Rights since he would be coming off a three-year deal. Also I think DMo is worth more than Jennings is (that may be my Rockets-homer-self talking, but I do honestly believe it). So I'd like to see Detroit throw in a draft pick or something. I think Jennings would be better suited come off the bench though, in an ideal world.

Jennings sucks. Has sucked from the start and still sucks. In short, he sucks. DMo for Jennings would be a HUGE mistake. So it's not something funny about Jennings. Jennings is just sad. The funny thing is the stupidity of your suggestion.

This is a fair assessment, especially if he wants the ball in his hands (probably wont mesh well with Harden on that point) but he seemed okay with it with Monta over in Milwaukee. I think it could work, Defense is about effort, I think Morey/Milkhair can get them motivated Harden/Ariza/Howard have all been playing pretty good defense this year. I am sure we'd keep two of Smith/Brewer/KJ who are all (KJ still TBD) capable defenders. Great analysis. You've really convinced me that we should not acquire Jennings now.
