I loved seeing Adam Pally make a cameo in Iron Man 3

I started watching this show recently. I love it. Just started season 3. It's so much silly, outrageous comedy that doesn't take itself seriously. Not your smartest comedies like Community, but smart enough to still parody plenty of cliches. It's a shame it got canceled.

Ugh, I saw this thread bumped and was hoping to see news of the show's revival.

Haha, sorry about that. Read from the Wiki that some staffer used the Twitter account to make an April Fool's show revival back in February. Just wanted to share the love for this show as I heard it was vastly underappreciated. I'm guilty of that, having not given it a chance during its original run.

Very underrated show. It's like the funny version of Friends. Definitely not the type of TV sitcom that I usually watch, but I enjoy it nonetheless. I wish I would've watched when it was airing.

The later seasons are very different from the first season. It's like they knew no one was watching and went nuts. They all became caricatures of their season one characters. This show was hilarious. I disagree with donuts, I think Happy Endings is a VERY smart comedy. Some references are pretty obscure, maybe too obscure for a mainstream audience.

    If you like Happy Endings

watch Marry Me on NBC, its probably gonna be cancelled this year too, but it is made from the same people, also starring Casey Wilson

Marry Me is decent. I watched the first 5-6 episodes weekly on Hulu, mainly because I like Ken Marino. It never struck me as anything special, though.

Happy Endings does have clever moments and sometimes showcases good parallels between side stories, but I think shows like Community, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development, etc. were just on another level as sitcoms for satire, humor, writing, theme episodes, etc. It has plenty of pop culture references that work as inside jokes, but I don't consider those as cream of the crop.

Still a very enjoyable show, and think others should give it a try if they haven't.

It was fun show. I'm really sorry it got cancelled. I like it better than Marry Me or any of the other shows that the stars from this one were in, except for perhaps Mindy.

    Why you gotta bump?!
ABC let go an excellent show. Trophy Wife wasn't that bad either.

They canceled both of these for Blackish and Fresh Off the Boat.

They canceled Happy Endings for Mixology, which was funny but a lot narrower. That whole urban millenial singles genre took a real beating this season. I'll never watch Blackish but the mom on Fresh off the Boat is easy on the eyes.

Trophy Wife was really good, too. It was on the quirky, silly side and I thought it deserved a second season.

From the previews, I was ready to write off Fresh Off the Boat and didn't want to pigeonhole watching it for the Asian side in me, but it's actually been surprisingly good. I do prefer the adult characters more than the kids, though, which the show is more based off the kid's story.
