Yeah they will have to rely on Tyson and Aminu to be their rim protectors.

Well we didn't play at a very high level last night. Against any of the top 6 teams that performance last night would have resulted in a loss. We still have a ways to improve, and hopefully we get there. But it's easy to understand why Dallas would think they have a fighting chance against those Rockets that showed up last night.

a healthy rockets will crush the mavs in the playoffs. mavs aren't a good defensive team, give up over 101ppg. our team has been injured all season long esp wtih dwight missing games or playing hurt, and we're still respectable on defense.

their offense wont do well against a good defense in the playoffs. if dwight and jones are near 100% the mavs will have a tough time scoring in the paint. dmo and smith off the bench doesnt make it easier. rockets also have arguably the best 3pt defense in the league. at 32% right now which is ranked #1 and will finish at #1 since 2nd place pelicans are at 33%.

Those 52 wins say otherwise. Of course having Dwight and D-Mo is preferred but think many underestimate this team. Almost completely different team, not just the new additions but the attitude is different too. That 2nd unit plus the new D culture has transformed this Rockets team.

I'm hoping we open the playoffs against Dallas and then face the winner of San Antonio/Memphis. My fingers are crossed.

Funny to read the writer say "you won't hear them say it on the record but mavs players probably want the rockets in the first round" then quote a couple of their players saying they could take us.

Dallas just finds a way to become you, doesn't it.

We were missing DMo and only 18 minutes of Dwight. Relax.

Good, the Rockets should want to face Dallas in the first round too. Dallas would be one of the best matchups for the Rockets in the post-season. There should be no excuse for not beating the Mavs. It would be especially nice to get revenge on the Mavs for the way they humiliated the Rockets in 2005 playoffs. My expectations are low, however, so getting out of the 1st round would satisfy me. Anything on top of that would be an added bonus. I would consider pushing another team to 6 or 7 games in 2nd round to be a successful season and one way of laying the foundation for a championship run eventually.

And that really ISN'T too much to ask for. You really can't set the bar any lower, so when posters here are content with no post season success I just scratch my head.

I don't think this is the case. Nobody is 'content' with no post season success. That's absurd. Everybody wants postseason success.

There are just some who value the success that happens in the regular season while some think it's mostly meaningless.
