Decent bench guy? That's as bad as calling him a max player. He's a 16 ppg scorer for playoff teams. He's a good player who is not a star.

I think because Parsons was such a great find in the 2nd round and put up terrific offensive numbers on a meager contract that many people(including Rockets fans) never bothered to project forward and ask ourselves if we'd feel the same way about him at an annual salary of 10-12 mil.

And now that he's making over 15 mil and may have hit his ceiling as a player, he's gone from a 2nd round steal on a bargain basement deal to an overpaid role player who'll probably never be an All-Star.

Morey was so excellent when asked about Portions by Dallas radio.

Having a "fabulous" season. So, so, so funny. So perfect.

I think we can all agree, including Chandler, that he is indeed fabulous. Good hair, good abs, good effort.

That would depend on how you define role player. If you mean "anyone who is not an all star", then yes, that's what he is. If you mean "average player", then he is not that.

because no one other than Cuban thought he was worth the contract. In fact if Parsons was playing on any other team Cuban wouldn't have made the max offer either

it was a decision based mostly on emotion towards the Rockets

I agree wit that, a very emotional decision. Maury could have made the same poor decision by matching.

If he had kept his defensive skill while adding his offensive development, he'd be worth 10-12 mil.

Instead, he dropped all focus on defense to work on his pump fake because he thinks he's a superstar.

That depends. Does it really upset you that they ranked the front office that signed Parsons to a $15MM/year contract higher than the front office that let him walk?

    They didn't, they ranked Popovich/Buford #1, Myers/West #2 and Morey #3

They ranked Carlisle several points ahead of Mchale but we knew that

Those rankings are real spot on. The FO that gave bosh a 5 year supermax is ahead of the Mavs too:rolleyes:

I find it ironic that Harden gets so much crap for his defense (he still does to a degree, although he's gotten better press lately), yet Parsons dialed his defense way back a long time ago. I think he misplaced it somewhere. Probably on his dressing table amongst the beauty products.

Still can't believe Parsons is making only $28,000 less than Harden this year.
