Take the guy who brought the Rockets 2 championships. Les got Drexler- Cuban never got anyone as influential to championship drive as Drexler was to #2. Do you like being abused?

Root for the Mavs- go to a game in Dallas, you can see Cuban in person crying like a teenage girl when someone breathes on Dirk.

B/C you're lying- you know I'm right- Houston in the 80s and 90s- Aldine in the 80s, graduate of Aldine HS- lived in Lake Jackson- then 290 jersey village. Rockets fan before you. I watched all the Rockets games in the 1980s. Way before your 99er thing. I win, you lose. love thomas, Alexander, all Rockets owners are great. You don't, I'm a better Rockets fan than you. Take your ax elsewhere, newb (post-1980s Rockets fan).

Yeah, I'd have to say Patterson is doing good things for UT so far. Shook up the whole program and it was definitely overdue. Looking forward to Longhorn fb and bb again, is definitely nice. Don't get me wrong Mac and Barnes were great, I just think it'll be great move for us (Yes I'm biased, I'm a Longhorn).

Anyway Patterson definitely made some great moves in the early 90s (Mario, Sam, and Robert).

    Fake fan alert.

I could do that too on a Spurs board but there's no point unless you are starved for attention

Watched 80s and 90s games- SRO Sports Bar in Houston, Savages, Kennealley's irish bar- Richmond Arms pub- near montrose- drove by Akeem's house, 80s, Northgate Forest, Brewery Tap, downtown. That's from Google? (huh?)

Fake fan knows more about the Rockets and Houston than you. How's that fake? Fake fans know Akeem? No. Fake fans know The Summit? No. Fake fans pick Cuban over Les....yes, true.

No, you said Les inherited his team and Cuban built his, which is complete revisionist history. Your views are obviously biased and therefore nugatory.

Your a good true rockets fan, good to see one here once in awhile.

Obviously the votes on the thread change based on game vs game, but that's not the point.

My ceo analogy is a good way to look at this debate. Some people have mistaken this thread as if you like the mavericks thread.

To me, this is the same as would saying if we switched point guards or coaches

Cuban inherited Dirk. Les inherited Hakeem. Equal.

Tinman inherited bias. (owned, newbie- research 80s Rockets, what I lived)

I was referring to before the Smart signing, (trust me, I'm happy as hell with him signing Smart), I was referring to how he "handled" the Mack Brown and Rick Barnes situations.

Tinman don't know- probably thinks downtown was the **** in the 90s rather than westheimer / richmond. Know your H-town history and your rockets history. Know sherlock's pub, know shakespeare's pub, know the ocean club, know 6400, know gilley's, know sam's boat, know the bayou, and know surfside down south-crabbing, friggin eh.

And know Bill Fitch. And Guy Lewis, Michael Young, Cesar Cedeno, Ernest Givins- know Houston, and you're da bomb.
