Agree. Anyone who wants to and is willing should have access to higher education. I wouldn't good as far as free. You do need to pay back in some form, whether that's loan, government programs and services, educators, doctors for the poors... I'm sure there are plenty of way folks receiving an education from society can give back to society to pay back what they were given.

The whole system is unfair which is my point. I think affirnative action sucks, it's an inefficient bad aid to deep, structural problems in education.

How are you deriving who is benefitting most?

You gave a PROFESSIONAL JOB analogy and you try to make your point with kids being accepted to schools. School is not a professional job it is a place to learn. Many black communities are so riddle with drugs, guns, crime, broken homes, and piss poor educational systems so of course their test scores are going to be lower as a whole but that doesn't mean they won't improve in a higher learning institution were they don't have to worry about being shot and or enticed into a life of crime. Letting black kids with lower test scores into schools isn't affirmative action... It's a small form of restitution which they deserve.

Now... If you're upset about Asians being discriminated against... Don't be hateful and take it out on black folks. Speak up. Because that isn't fair.

Lol I chuckled at this. So why are they more deserving than a Lower-Class Asian or White kid? Lower-Class Asian or White kids don't deserve to improve their quality of life, because they're not Black?

Why does the Upper-Class Black kid (the Grant Hill/EJ Johnson's of the world) get to benefit from Affirmative Action programs over Lower-Class Asian or White kids, just because of his skin color?

Exactly. When you have hard working families who prioritize and focus on education, they shouldn't be racially limited by a policy intended to help others who haven't prioritized education.

It is always about race for neo-confederate types like bigtexx. He thinks he could have been successful but for affirmative action.

a 24 MCAT with a 3.2 GPA...for a job that requires the utmost competence I don't understand why they curb it like that , or even for programs like JAMP. You won't even get sniffed for an interview below a 3.6 and a 30, and to guarantee a spot at least be above a 3.7 and a 32. This is one of those areas I DO have a problem with.

I don't care if you have a 2.0 GPA in undergrad, if you get into med school, are able to complete the coursework and be good enough to be hired into a job, then you are obviously competent.

Because there people don't get treated like dogs in this country... Jim Crow laws wasn't made for them.

I don't know what EJ Johnson you're talking about but Grant Hill could ball and his parents had money... But yet you think he got into Duke because of affirmative action... Bwahahahah...!!! It's black kids who could play ball and barley read that go to big time programs. Sports in college is a business. And you need to check the chart you showed to see how many of those black kids participated in sports. That's a terrible example. Lol.. And what was Grant Hill's SAT score by the way...?

You've formed a hatred for black folks under a bullshyt assumption.

Oh... And I wouldn't give a flying flip if they kicked every Black person out of the NBA and NFL and replaced them with White and Asian folks. They're way worst of an influence on the black youth than rap music.

On my phone, so I'll keep this short. EJ Johnson son of 500 million dollar Magic Johnson. Grant Hill also born in a Upper Class family. Joakim Noah. And countless others examples of well off African American households. What makes them more deserving of Affirmative Action than a poor White or Asian kid?

Grant Hill's dad was was the 1st Dallas Cowboys running back to rush for 1000 yards and he has a super bowl ring. And Noah's dad was the biggest pro tennis player in France and I believe his mom was a model. They're dad's are famous. They could get into many colleges even if they didn't play ball. And please give their SAT scores so we can see how low they are even though it wouldn't have mattered with them. So you added a terrible example on top of another. Swing and miss ---> Strike Two....!!!

And you keep bringing up people who play sports. You need to separate the SAT scores from the black kids who play sports and don't. Because people pay to watch sports and not to see kids do science experience. Do you have any idea how much money college sports generate and what type of publicity they give for the schools...??? Many of the black college athletes are just being exported anyway. Do you know the percentage of black males in college that play sports...???

White folks own the schools and you're mad at Black folks because they're not letting Asians in

Asians have been on the rise in this country and buying up shyt and infiltrating corporations and getting people to the top. That's how you can gain control without squeezing a trigger. That's why they're hate'n on Asian kids and making it more difficult for them to get into schools. But you go head and keep representing Team Texxx and continue to sleep and keep blaming the evil black folks who control everything.

So what are you going to do about your white overlord masters also having 50% better chance of getting in than you?

I see what you're saying , but the problem is that with a 2.0 you probably won't come close to finishing the course work and will MOST LIKELY fail. I've seen people with 3.8+ flunk out.

Too many people taking BS majors like Bio and Biochem. How many jobs can you get with either major. People take that so they can keep their GPA up and when they go to med school they fail.

IKR?!! If these slackers took more challenging courses like poly-psych, Engrish or socialology, they'd be much better prepared for med school.

Just for the record I don't believe Joakim Noah is American. His father is Yannick Noah the famous French tennis player who went on to success as an entertainer.
