    What happened tonight?

    James is tired?

Did anyone see James Harden sitting on the floor with a defeated demeanor a couple times in the 2nd half? He couldn't even get up when Rockets came back with the ball.

I hope the majority of our playoff games are right before the weekend or way after the weekend to recover from clubs.

Nothing is wrong with him, he's a streak shooter. Always been that way. The other areas of the game outside of shooting he's been playing great though.

Looked fine to me. Can his teammates make some free throws?

With all of the injuries I doubt we'll be able to rest him before the playoffs like I was hoping. The most we can hope for is a Memphis collapse and thank god there are no Back 2 Back's in the playoffs.

Is Harden past his athletic prime at 25? In his OKC days he would elevate for lay ups and take the contact not looking or the foul all the time but now he stays grounded and tries to get the foul call.

When was the last time we saw Harden elevate for a lay up absorb contact and make an and 1. Like almost every border line star to superstar does that every once in a while. Yet Harden since the all star break barley jumps 10 inches on lay ups.

Dude, for once be objective. Harden is more often than not looking for the foul instead of trying to finish the lay in. He barely gets off the ground and extends his arms. I would like it more if he goes in hard and elevates attempting to finish the lay in instead. He is becoming way too dependent on the refs. Take matters in his own hands and just finish strong.

James Harden isn't infallible J Sizzle. It's okay to be hard on him. As a MVP candidate he should be scrutinized.

You're telling me to be objective while also asking if James Harden, universally considered to be having an MVP caliber season and career highs in just about every statistical category outside of shooting percentage, is past his prime at age 25....

    ^^^

Athletically speaking...look no further than the many, many highlight dunks, improved defense, ball handling ability, and much more.

So arguably the MVP is past his athletic prime. His best season to date. That makes a ton of sense. Lol the comments on this board

Well, athletically he should be able to jump higher on lay ins instead of just barley getting off the ground and extending his arms hoping the whistle blows.

I think his ankle injury might have something to do with it. e had a great dunk in New Orleans the other night.

This is such a trivial thing to complain about, not only because there is so many examples of the contrary as well as it's effectiveness over the course of the entire season.

    I mean...seriously...

    He is capable of dunking.

But FC is right. Stop looking for the bailout.

    Yup.
He can still dunk, though being 6' 5" helps, but I haven't seen him in a while just attack and jump as high as he is able to, absorb contact and make a difficult lay up. He is an elite guard. For sure once in a few game he would be able to do something like this? Last time I remember him explicitly going hard for a lay up and absorbing contact and making an and1 was the Cavs game in the 4th quarter.

If he was tired tonight, don't forget this was the second game of back to backs on the road. If he's not inviting enough hard contact, keep in mind there are only so many games left and everyone else is already injured
