Harden played perfect defense but he's too short to guard Derozan. His arms outstretched didn't even get to the Derozan's chin.

 

You mean to tell me, Terry who trying to look for Harden (who didn't make any effort to get open) was Harden not being passive?

 

The play looked like it was for Terry, but Ariza was too close and his man delayed him long enough

Sorry, I came in late and saw much of the 2nd half. I was pissed at every call for Raps, DeRozan not missing, loose balls, rebs, etc... and then I see we missed THIRTEEN FREEBIES?

Nevermind, now I'm just annoyed at our team.

Thats the whole game. Shoot 28 of 31 and win by 10. ridiculous.

 

We just can't win in Toronto

 

Mchale is not a smart coach that's evident by how good Capela, Nick Johnson and Isaiah Canaan are. Blessed with so many talented players and don't know how to manage it.

 

Being down 3 rotational big men will tend to expose the lane. and those that weren't able to be spelled played last night

 

ummm... Harden played incredible defense on that play.

 

Harden probably guarded Ariza at the end because Ariza had shown that he couldn't stop him. He was blowing by Ariza left and right. I have no idea why people don't remember this happening.

Note: I still would have opted for Ariza on him at the end by the way. Just saying.

 

Multiple times Dorsey literally let (MVP Derozan) into the lane. Literally back to back. Yet, he played the whole 3rd quarter.

 

I'm still really pissed about that. Everyone was screaming timeout, Brewer was standing RIGHT next to the ref signaling it and Harden was screaming it. The defender is reaching ALL over Harden (which should have been a foul.) and what happens?

Jump ball. In no way is that a jump ball. Mainly because the defender did not tie up the ball, Harden had FULL possession of it and was hugging it with both arms and two because they were calling timeout.

Yeah it sucks some of the things we did including missed FTs but that call taints what was a close game for me. That HAD to be a foul or timeout.

 

it's very frustrating to lose that game but we are short-handed and we gotta keep grinding - move on

 

Besides not giving us the timeout I don't understand the egregious errors the refs made tonight? Harden doesn't ALWAYS get hacked when he goes to the paint. Sometimes teams play good defense. He needs to get off the floor with some lift and make some contested lay ups. You don't see that from him anymore like he did in his OKC days. He instead stays glued to the ground trying to get a foul. He is only 25 so I doubt he is loosing his athleticism.

 

Are you asking if they can review that? I don't think so. Once they called the jumpball, that was it. I also don't know if those kinds of plays will be included on the 2-minute reviews they issue. Blown foul calls are highlighted, but do they also cite missed timeouts?

 

maybe it's the other way around? mchale can be a decent coach given nj and cap played as well as they did... just a though

 

We will drop to 5th seed, and play vs Blazers.

 

We all know but it's been repeated if you actually read that Harden is still too small to guard Derozan. We saw it the entire game. Harden with his arms out stretched hardly got to his chin.
