Clippers let Nate Robinson go after his second 10 day contract. He is currently injured, but expected to be ready to play by the end of the week. He hasn't played particularly well this year, he is 30 and on the small side size wise, though he can be a scorer and penetrator with the ball more so than Terry or Prigioni. I could see the Rockets giving him a 10 day contract to see how he does.

I believe he can't be on playoff roster since he was on a team after March 1st

you can sign players that haven't played for a team all year and sign him the last game of the season (Tmac signed with the Spurs in 2013 Playoffs) but someone like JaVale McGee can be signed be on the playoff roster since he got waived/bought out before the deadline

Not even a little. Terry and Prigioni both understand their roles, and know what's needed of them for the Rockets to be successful.

Based on this article it looks like he would be eligible because he was on a 10 day contract, not a guaranteed contract:

A player on a 10-day contract has the deal expire after the Playoff Eligibility Waiver Deadline and signs a rest-of-season deal with any team after the deadline.
    Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: Mike James in 2012. James became a free agent after the deadline, when his second 10-day deal with the Bulls expired. However, because his contract wasn't guaranteed for the season, James retains playoff eligiblity if he's signed by the Bulls or another team.
