    I think I answered my own question. We can't give him the bi-annual but we can give him the non-bird exemption which is 120 percent of his salary with us.

    I agree with this. He's happy here and wants to stay with his buddy Dwight and I noticed his also a good friend with Harden as well.

    You guys are crazy.

    A player like smith (read: not lifers like Duncan/dirk) is not leaving millions on the table to hang out w his pal. I know we would like that to happen as friends, but this is really his last chance to really pull down a sizable contract.

    How does he have no athleticism? He's obviously pretty quick, and I saw him throw down a 2-hand jam in that video. How many 6'2" point guards do you see dunking, much less with two hands in the half-court?
