It's not the player's fault per se. I don't blame him for getting the best offer possible, good for him. But that comes with increased expectations. Its reasonable why he gets the hate.

...in the latest NBA After Dark podcast they interviewed a Mavs beat writer who basically said that they have chemistry issues stemming from Monte Ellis because he is moody and he was not happy that Parsons is getting paid so more than Monte. The Mavs media guy didn't seem that confident that Monte would be back in Dallas.

I don't necessarily want to see Parsons struggle, but watching Cuban suffer as a result of trying to stick it to Houston is a nice treat for us. I HOPE we get Dallas in the 1st round just to nail the point home....

It was funny how they also mentioned that Dallas has a bunch of mercenaries on short contracts with bad chemistry. Cuban blasted Morey in the offseason by saying "chemistry matters." Oh how the tables have turned.

Cuban is basically the Mav's Owner/GM. Why does he even have Nelson Jr on the books? To have a GM for the sake of having one?

I wonder who would be a taker if Cuban tried to move that contract in the offseason. I fully expect to hear chatter about how they can get him off the books this summer. That is of course unless he kicks it into high gear in the playoffs.

you guys are taking the mavs for granted..sure they haven't met expectations, but when they're offense is clicking, they are damn near unstoppable. rick carlisle is a genius and i fully expect these players to roll come playoff time..

man i've finally got some closure on last year's portland series and am able to watch rockets highlights from those games...

watch parsons highlights from game 1 and game 5...i truly feel that when he's on, he can be a force...

am i upset that he left the way he did? of course, but sometimes i miss his offensive output and the ability to get to the rim...

i'm getting anxious about our playoff series this year. i hope ariza steps up big time to fill that void, and i hope parsons is quieted if we play dallas.

Nelson Jr. is a great GM. He runs the ship just as much if not more than Cuban does in regards to players.

I think most everyone can agree that Chandler is at least a pretty good player and he definitely would have been useful on this roster even now. The criticism is less about his merits as a player and more in line with how much money he is making to be a pretty good player. Let's be honest - Cuban let his competitive nature get the best of him and it caused him to overpay for Parsons which in turn alienated Parsons from some of his new teammates. In the ultimate of ironies, Cuban's criticism that Morey isn't careful about team chemistry is blowing back up in his face.

FWIW, Parson's "Real Plus Minus" is a pretty good 2.74, quite a bit better than Brewer's and Ariza's: http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM/position/5

This not to say that Ariza and Brewer have not been helpful to this team (Brewer's low RPM may have to do with having played in MIN for the first part of the season), but they do have their own weaknesses and having Parsons as an option in place of one of them probably would make this team better. Contractually, it could have worked out to have kept Parsons and acquired Ariza at the same time (via the Omer Asik trade). The decision to let Parsons go really mostly impacted "flexibility" for summer 2015 and beyond.

Well highlight is one thing, actual in game performance is another. He was outplayed by Batum in that series. Should've kept his mouth shut.

But Monta is gonna get paid this summer by someone. Why can't he just suck it up for one more month(or longer if they get out of the first round) and play the best he can so he can maximize his earning potential?
