Why? It's entirely accurate. Dwight has no post moves, none that are effective at least.

Not true at all, he was very effective in the post while he was healthy in Orlando.

Effective, yes.... but it was more athleticism/power than simple "fundamentals" or "finesse" (aspects that D-mo relies more on).

    T. Jones is very raw... yet I'd take his offensive production on a nightly basis (along with the ability to impact the game defensively and in transition) over a "refined" post-player like D-mo.

The success of Dwight's postgame depends heavily on who's guarding him. He struggles against big frontlines like Memphis. The good news is the Rockets have learned how to score in other ways, so they won't be dependent on Dwight for 20+ points a night when he does return.

if he has no post moves, there's no way he would have been a 20 pt scorer in his career

Look like Chandler of the Nuggets pushed him into somebody doing a high stride quick move and ended up kicking Jones in the rips.. That kind of acceleration of a pro NBA athlete can be as much as a 1000+ lbs of force going into Jone's ribs. Probably more. No wonder he has a partially collapsed lung.

the statement was dwight has no post moves. doesn't matter if it was more athleticism/power. you still need good footwork to go along with a good touch around the basket to effectively be able to score in the post. pretty ridiculous that there's people in here that believe dwight has no post game.

    Great post, thanks for sharing!

By the way, are you a tall, thin and young male? You sound like the classic case for primary spontaneous pneumothorax

I guess its relative, but I wouldn't consider myself tall, 5'10", not thin, normal 'athletic' type build, around 175ish, I don't smoke, they said I wasn't quite the classic, but not too far off.

    Thanks!

Bumping this back up, since we're getting close to him being re-evaulated.

Last night (IIRC) Worrell said that his lung is fully inflated but he's still not quite feeling great.

I don't expect him back for another week. Maybe when that 3-game road trip begins in Dallas a week from today.

I've done the same thing (albeit it in a more contract injury way of occurring) and it took me about a month to get back to competitive sport. you can't suck in the deep breaths so you lose heaps of fitness. or at least i did.

You obviously didn't watch the Rockets vs Trailblazers playoff series last season to make a quote like that.

Couple days away from playing again per Morey.

Best link I can find right now:
