Let's Roll with Nick Johnson I'd rather he get the playing experience since he's under contract. It's beneficial for us if he does good in the playoffs, or as weapon on this team next season or as an trade asset immediately after the season.
Any chance you can sign a FA who is play-off eligible due to a player being out for the season?? If not, then they should implement this rule now!! There's no reason a team should not be able to sign someone instead of an injured player, just for the regular season!!

Could we have one damn season where we have superstars and average health? Just one? The good news is Beverley is by far the most expendable starter since he has no offensive responsibility besides firing threes, and he's totally average at that. The bad news is I don't trust any of the three guys behind him one bit. You know that Pat will want to play unless the doctors lock him up in an abandoned warehouse. I hope he's fully cleared, but I'd rather he have the surgery than be tentatively cleared and ruin his career doing Pat Beverley things.
A loss but with Bev trying to go hero ball offensively a lot of the times, not as big a loss as many would think. You can bet that Bev would ahve ISO'd come playoff time under National spotlight and try to put up bigger offensive numbers (at the expense of better options aka Harden) in the hope of getting a big contract. Playoffs usually comes down to going 8 deep, at most 9 I'd just go with. JET (24) / Prigs (16)/ Harden (8) Harden (30) / Brewer (18) Ariza (38) / Brewer (10) TJ (20) / Smith (20) / DMo (8) Howard (36) / DMo (12) That's 9 deep.
While I think that would be the best line-up, I think there is more of a net positive when Brewer comes off the bench. The starters won't be quite as good without Brewer, but the bench would be a LOT better with him. There are diminishing returns when you add him to the starting line-up.
KJ McDaniels should be playing but he's not getting the Chandler Parsons opportunity. Plus we suck at letting young players at the guard/small forward position truly develop.
no he should not be playing. why would he be playing when you have ariza and brewer. theres just not enough room. puzzles me to see how people don't understand how a rookie on a contending team does not play.
The Rox tried Canaan and Daniels but they both sucked, not only in the Rox but proved the same in the worst teams in the league like T-wolves and 76ers.
If Bev is out for the playoffs McHale is going to have to get creative with the line ups because Prigs or Terry playing heavy minutes won't cut it.
Wrist injury is totally different than foot and knee, if tomorrow is a game 7 playoff, there is 99% chance Bev will play. My guess is both Bev and the Rox will wait a bit on this to see if it will get better or not and then to decide if Bev need to shut it down or not. The injury will no doubt affect his offense - which lots of the people hate him so much anyway, but should not affect him much on the D.
Most likely we will close with Brewer instead of a PG. Ariza will guard the PG, and Brewer the wing. We've done it several times this season with good success. Now during the meat of the game......that scares me. Neither Prigs or Terry can cover PGs.
I thought about quoting this, but figured it might be in bad taste, since it's one of our players, and he's injured.
Count me in the blessing in disguise camp. Love Bev's grit... but there is a reason he had an 8.9 PER last year in the playoffs. He's overmatched. But PER doesn't measure defense you say? True, except Bev was pretty horrible defending Lillard last year in the playoffs, too. Lillard had an even better series than LMA at the end of the day... that's saying a lot.
