so last night i go to shut down my computer for the night...says its going to install an update...no big deal...dont think much of it.

go to start up the computer this morning and for some reason my computer wallpaper is changed to a default one and it looks to me my graphics card drivers might need to be updated. the font and such looks kind of weird.

any idea what might have happened?

did the update do something wonky and for some reason revert back to maybe a later disk image or whatever you call that?

no problems yesterday...just when i booted it up this morning.

Oh no. Your registry is completely ****ed man.

I recommend you unhook your power supply and coat your RAM in hot lavender oil.

Press start, type device manager, wait for it to pop. Do you see your display driver listed? Even if you do, go to the manufacturers drivers website, enter your service tag, and grab the latest driver

install the latest drivers for your graphics card. go to the manufacturers site and find the driver.
