Curry trying to be too fancy with the behind the back dribble and loses the ball out of bounce. I know Curry gets a lot of love for his handles and creative passes but am I the only one who gets annoyed with all the flashiness? A couple of plays a game are nice but he is constantly trying to "show off", or rather show up people. Its like that kid from grade school who knows he's good and loves to show off his skills any chance he gets. There comes a point where all the flashiness becomes annoying attempts to get constant attention. As much flax Harden gets for having such an unpleasing to watch game (I tend to disagree), I would much rather have his steady style of play with some flash here and there (the occasional killer crossover or dunk) than Curry's non stop flashy dribbles and making passes harder than they should be. Half the times, Curry should be called for carrying the ball anyway. He cradles the ball like as much as anyone I've ever seen.
Most of the time Curry goes with his "fancy dribbling" he's creating an advantage to either get past his man or create separation for his shot, which is almost necessary since he's not the most explosive/athletic dude. He's not really one to overly pound the rock, as that team moves the ball way more than most. There's a reason you work on these drills as a kid. And its not all about looking cool. As for making passers tougher than they should be, none of truly understand how difficult it is to sneak a pass through an array of long arms at full speed. Any deception you can use to help you with this (no looks, behind the back passes, etc) is helpful, as long as you have the instincts to pull it off, which he clearly does.
1. Sports is an entertainment. 2. He still has pretty good ast/to for the style of play. The risky plays obviously does more good to the team than harm. 3. 3rd qtr blow out led by Curry, again! Kerr must have some secret rituals during half time talk. 4. Don't have to be so sensitive about Curry's success. Their winning ways is undeniable and atm moment still quite unfathomable. Esp when others can have more to nitpick about the player you support.
Nobody is beating Golden State 4 times out of 7. Hate to say it but it's not happening, barry injuries.
Thank you, well said. As you say, they're not redundant, and they're fun to watch. The dubs play very efficiently led by Curry's ability in this style of play.
Home court isn't even really that important for them. They are just clearly superior to every other team. It's a shame that in one of the most exciting conferences ever in the West, it's really not hard to see who's going to win it.
I think a healthy Memphis team had a decent shot at beating them. I know its not likely but I could see them doing it
