This sucks I was really hoping for a huge OKC and GSW Matchup in the first round but with Ibaka out tilll the first round of the playoffs at best and now Durant out for the season pretty much the door has shut on OKC. NOP is playing well and may get Jrue back (but unlikely I think) by the playoffs.

I really hope this isn't anything that is long term though for KD. It just seemed weird he never could fully shake off the injury - I am hoping its more of a "he kept coming back too early" type instead of something that will linger the way Yao's did. Granted that KD's frame is way smaller than Yao, but sometimes those type of frames do create stress elsewhere - I mean KD is freakish in his own right. Remember T-Mac had that sort of athleticism in a smaller frame and had several type of injuries due to stress in his body from imbalance of weight.

We've had way too many "once-in-a-generation" stars fall off because of their injuries I really hope that KD isn't another one of them

Should the Thunder shut down Westbrook / limit his minutes? Even if they get in, they'll have had to ride WB all the way into the postseason to fend off NO and PHX.

Didn't take long for CF to rub it in. Don't make this about the Rockets, guys. I'm upset that we don't have a chance to see one of the best first round 1 seed v 8 seed matchups in quite some time, assuming OKC made it.

WB and Davis can probably win a game for their respective teams against GS, but at this point, I feel like Phoenix is a better matchup for the Warriors.

This probably means OKC goes 100% for Westbrook MVP

This begs the question do we really want Durant here in 2016? With his thin frame and outside touch I thiguht for sure KD would have a Ray Allen/Reggie Miller-like career, nowadays it seems all it really takes is just one major injury and NBA players arent the same again

I saw this one coming. The uncertainty over his return made it sound like he was never coming back. Let's just hope this isn't Yao all over again.

I'm torn now on who to root for to get the 8th seed. I want that lotto pick, but I also want the Warriors to be challenged in the first round.

But if they don't even make the playoffs, he has no chance.

Morey needs to be thinking about this kind of thing. I'd argue we at Clutchfans don't and the best answer is "while this is concerning, it is his first season-wrecking injury so let's watch him closely next season and see what happens."

There's no real way to know if we're looking at 2010 Brandon Roy or 1991 Hakeem Olajuwon, without watching his next move.

Westbrook is all balls and athleticism..... one more major injury that saps even 15% of his athleticism and it could get really nasty... his game does not translate well at all without elite ability.... couple that with his personality and you could see a really gross mixture of Wizards MJ + San Antonio T-Mac + 40 year old Kobe.... he could literally peel the pain off the rim.
