T-Wolves vs Knicks will be a nail biter.. Might be one of the best games of the season.. I'm gonna have to go with Minny getting the W.. T-Wolves 60 Knicks 59 in double OT
Umm. This sounds bad. They rushed him back after he had the same surgery Yao did. 7 footers jumping around with that much force probably isn't good for the feet no matter how heavy they are.
Higher NOLA pick That said, not sure it matters [anymore] who the 8th seed is between OKC and NO. Durant can't get his foot right Ibaka will either be out or just be coming back right as the regular season ends and playoffs begin. As good as Russ has been, ha yeah, you're not going 1-5 on against Golden State. NOLA, they're fodder either way but they've had injury issues of their own with Davis in and out of the lineup.
Wow...I am prone to overreaction and that might be the case here, but Durant's injury sounds far more serious than they've let on.
Feeling that way OKC might wanna concede the season Get a good draft pick and try again next year Rocket River
I'd rather have the high pick, but I wouldn't hate it if OKC missed the playoffs. Has anyone won the MVP without making the playoffs?
I only say this because as much as I would love the pick, I hate OKC and would love to see them out the playoffs, I dont even think this OKC team (healthy at best) can matchup with the Warriors in 7
Imagine if we matchup against them, how effin lucky we got if it's true he won't return anytime soon.
Bill Simmons said in his column the other day that the uncertainty over Durant's return reminded him of Garnett in 2009. I'm inclined to agree. I think OKC knows he may be done for the year and doesn't wanna demoralize the fans and his teammates. I think it's wise to shut him down for the season rather than risk his career over a likely first round loss to the Warriors(assuming they even get into the postseason). After Yao hurt his foot the first time, he basically lasted one more regular season before his playing days were over. Oh, and one other thing. Morey and Les may wanna stop obsessing over Durant in 2016. We already saw a potential championship team go down in flames thanks to a superstar with foot problems. Let's not go down that road again.
Forget the draft pick. They need to get a new coach for next season and take one last swing with KD still on the team. He's a goner IMO. I'm willing to accept they actually expected him to return this season but the last couple days of setbacks have changed the outlook.
Tarik Black is having the game of his life, against the best defensive center in the league : Gobert.
