I see he ignored telling young people to instead be focused on the mountain of debt they'll have to pay the rest of their life, significantly making them worse off than their parents.
Too many posters today are forgetting this... Obama:young... Obama: young Obamacare:Largest Obamacare: Largest _____ Try harder people.
Maybe he doesn't understand that many young people are not worried about weed more so than that the United States is number one in the amount of incarcerated humans on the planet and criminalization of weed is a factor in that lovely statistic.
This absolutely infuriates me. He has the audacity to talk down to weed legalization advocates when thousands of Americans have been incarcerated for **** he got away with. Not only is incarceration an issue but he was able to hold the highest position in the United Staes while having a history of using weed yet thousands of citizens have lost important job opportunities because they popped on a piss test. Thousands of veterans have lost their honorable discharge and benefits because they popped on a piss test.
Ha, I was talking about the ever growing national debt, which Obama is partially responsible for. But yeah, that too.
In 1972 at TCU I had a friend do just that, got his money, bought some LBS. drove home to Long Island, sold them, came back and paid his tuition and had money for the semester. Thanks for the memory it was hilarious.
I'd bet the house that if MJ were legalized then young people would begin to care a lot more about the things he listed. Js
the problem isn't young people caring too much about weed the problem is the state caring too much about weed It's insidious what Obama is saying, i.e. never you mind small liberties being taken away here and there.
This is the type of shyt that makes me agree with Cornel West about Obama... The dude is a black Bill Clinton...
I think most young people know the average person has 0 effect on political decisions and they would be wasting their time. The odds of them getting enough money to be a shaker are slim and getting slimmer. The do however see their friends getting put in prison for something they commonly accept as harmless or even helpful. That's personal. I suppose Mr. Obama would like to get some support against the 1%/FAUX people but their workers get paid. He could have led a stronger movement but he would have had to work at it in 2008 instead of selling out, covering up, giving in. The failure to follow through on his charismatic first election probably killed a youth movement for another generation. I think he let the reality of the office shape him rather than reshaping the reality.
