True, LOL. It's an admittedly labored analogy.

But the process of how we filter information - especially when angry: that's the point. He felt unappreciated; not a leap to think he was hearing what he wanted to hear.

Look, I don't think the Texans wanted him to leave, per se. They *absolutely* wanted him to take a pay cut, in part because they saw his role changing.

We may never know what exactly was said and what both sides really wanted. I interpret what we've heard differently than you do. Bottom line is that he is gone. I think it was handled the wrong way, you don't. Doesn't change a thing.

You're either dumb, single, or both.

Or maybe you just can't do very well and get with women that you are afraid to be honest with for fear that they'll leave you. Sounds like a "you" problem to me.

It is not fear. It is respect and tact.

My wife of almost five years begs to differ about my ability to "get with women". Nice try.

Fair enough, to each their own and I'm sure she's lovely...anyway this is off topic and the topic in general isn't a Texans related topic anymore so it shouldn't even be in the Texans forum.

Don't bother Nimo, some people are just not smart enough to get it. They will argue to death that the water is dry all day irregardless of how wrong they are just for the sake of arguing. At some point, just walk away and remember ignorance is alive and well.

Hey I've spelled things out for you guys time and time again yet you refuse to follow along. Notice how no one commented once I showed exactly why Andre's receptions would be reduced.....

Classy move by Andre. Hoping this is the best for both sides.

I may feel a bit dirty for saying this, but I can't help but root for him and the Colts to win it all. He deserves a ring.

Ya I wish him the best. I have nothing against the Colts. There is 0 reason to. They just beat us most of the time and go about their business. For me there's no rivalry, we just happen to play them 2 times a year because we were arbitrarily assigned to a division with them.

He doesn't deserve a ring. I love Andre as much as the next Texans fan but rooting for a division rival is plain silly.

Exactly. No real Texans fan would root for a division rival. Also, if Andre REALLY wanted a ring he could have taken less money to help the team put some more talent around him when he was still a good player. His #1 priority was being the top paid WR (at the time) and he got that so he has nothing to complain about.

Right, if you get paid your worth you REALLY don't want a ring

I know you are the president of the Andre Johnson fan club, but let's face it, if his #1 priority was winning instead of maximizing his contract, the Texans would have had a much better chance at a SB during Andre's time here. Hell even now he's only complaining because the Texans aren't going to keep paying him WAY more than he's worth. Money isn't the main thing when it comes to Andre Johnson, it's the only thing.

Wall of words. He got paid fairly. The Texans put a crappy team around him except for 2 years.

    That is all.
