He was actually pretty good in defensive rotations. Still less of a liability than Smith.

Take it easy. Yes, Dmo is gassed, but he's doing a dirty work and actually made Jordan frustrated in this game. He just can't yet play center full time yet. His body and stamina will optimal next season, IMO. It's first time he's playing so much and going against center each night.

Rockets won. Go complain somewhere else.

He worked hard today . It's obvious he's gassed and smiths incompetence led to him having to play 40 min today . He missed bunnies as per usual but we don't win that game without dmo today . He made a key rotation to alter Paul's shot and a key rebound tap towards the end of the game . Dmo is still inconsistent but I imagine that his play will become more solid when Dwight comes back and he can go back to playing against PF's and backup centers.

He was dreadful finishing on offense today, but he actually played extremely well overall. McHale realized that too, D-mo played 43 minutes, and we managed to beat the Clippers in LA.

He obviously wasn't that big a liability.

I still think Dmo is X factor for Rockets in the playoffs. Rockets wouldn't have anyone to play D if not Dmo tonight. Jones and Smith can't guard anyone who is really big. So after Howard, Dmo is the guy who can make that huge impact defensively going against big PFs like Aldrige and centers.

Pretty poor game from him again, he played a lot though because we needed big guys desperately, you can't have Dorsey in there because of free throws, and Smith was having a terrible game as well.

In some ways it was poor but honestly he saved us. Without DMo we get crushed because no one else was going to take the DeAndre Jordan assignment and even do as well.

Jordan had 20 boards lol, he is our only 7 footer so we have to put him out there though.

Had he shot better than 3-15 than we win a little more comfortably.

The whole "X-Factor" thing was meant for the beginning of the season when Dwight and Jones were both injured.

D-Mo was the X-Factor back then because he was the main guy (no disrespect to Dorsey and Black) holding down the front court on this team. He was our second best player for the majority of the season while we faced various injury issues. Our record during that stretch and even after Dwight came back, before we picked up Smith was phenomenal.

He's having a bad (at best) month for sure though.

Now I'd actually say that Dwight is the "X-Factor" at this point.

Only 3 of the 20 are offensive.

Go write crazy somewhere else. Yes, he was not his best sometimes.

Today his duty was to wrestle under the basket. And he did that for 43 min. Played most minutes on the team.

Sure, he is absolutely dreadful. He somehow needs to get to his natural position - PF. Maybe then he would look for you less "absolutely dreadful".

He did a spectacular job on the interior today. Jordan got his rebounds like he always does. But he only had 3 offensive rebounds, and he only had 5 points. D-mo was really physical, which is a good change from his recent paper mache performance.

He was awful on offense though. He shortarmed everything. But we beat the Clippers and D-mo played more minutes than anybody.

And without DMo out there he potentially doubles that number. There's a reason they kept DMo on the court for 43 minutes, he did an admirable job on DAJ especially when you consider that he's a power forward.

Cold shooting night, but performed well defensivelly with some key plays at the end - good help defense on CP3 with +1 and 1 minute remaining and then that tip offensive rebound. Had a good battle against Jordan, worked well boxing him out defensively.

But all fans see is points and rebounds.

I mean he did okay I guess but regarding what the previous poster said I wouldn't say he "saved" us.

I would have liked to see him hit more than 3 out of 15 shots.

I was surprised the refs let him to be physical with Jordan. He would get call on for tickytack when wrestling for rebounds.

By saying he "saved" us I mean that he did a job that no one else could have done. If we were stuck putting one of our other PF's or Dorsey on DAJ then we have no chance in this one.
