That was lucky. But we can see how stupid Mcfail is.

 

What we learned:

Smith isn't playing with energy
Terry has no business playing at all
Jones has eclipsed Smith in almost every aspect right now
Ariza's defense is elite
Bev still plays at a backup pg level

 

Not a fan of this post-game show talking only about CP3 and blake. I'm pretty sure we won this game, lol.

 

great win for us in the standings but in terms of evaluating our outlook, it doesn't mean much. same problems persist and both teams didn't really play well today, but really happy to get the win. can't wait to get a healthy dwight back.

Back to back win over the Clippers! Whattt?!

 

Bad turnover by Ariza but he made up for it by drawing a charge and that DEF on CP.

 

Though they were the national crew, having a pro Houston guy like JVG and an anti Clippers guy like Mark Jackson made this game all the more hilarious

 

just need to now start to build the gap between us and 5th spot

 

On nba.com, all highlight plays for the game up so far are Blake Griffin. No joke. 5 different clips. Sigh.

 

Going back to the Barnes flagrant, if Harden gets suspended a game for tapping Lebron on the thigh with his foot, Barnes should damn sure be suspended a game for body slamming Harden.

Watching Harden and Paul fight over the ball for the full 48 minutes while watching Howard just stand around in the paint and refuse to set picks for both would be ugly to watch.

Harden is our primarily ball handler, we need a 3 and D guy. Bev brings a poor 3 and his D is lacking as well.

 

If there is 1 highlight from the game, day, week... It's Brewer punking Griffin with the poster dunk and then telling him why.

 

I was surprised they didnt call Ariza for that offensive foul. He was never set on griffin.Bad call

 

Would it kill Mchale to play Pablo? I just don't understand why he is being so stubborn about sticking with Terry. Carlisle tried the Terry PG experiment in Dallas and it didn't work well.

Both this game and vs the Blazers, the other team gets back in the game once Terry comes in at PG.

 

Rockets never been on 3 game losing streak, right?

 

HUGE HUGE HUGE WIN!!! Now the 4th seed is looking pretty good(depending on how hot the Spurs really are). And 2nd and 3rd are still in play.

I'd argue this might've been the biggest win of the year. The Cavs one was more fun, but it had far less importance in terms of the standings and capped off a 5-game winning streak. This one was needed badly after the Portland and Utah losses.

Also, compare this to a year ago when the Rockets had lost 2 in a row and were coming off a horrible showing in Chicago. They went into Miami on national TV and got outplayed(and outreffed) down the stretch for their first 3-game losing streak of the season. This year they manage to avoid 3 straight losses against their toughest opponent(at least during the Harden era) on the road on national TV. They've grown up a lot over the past 12 months.
