You want to pass on a 7'4'' 300lb potential NBA player because he looks old.

I suspect he will be serviceable. Very rare to improve on athleticism. And seems to be lacking. When I look at the great Centers I think their atheletic ability jumped off the screen right away. And many learned how to score later. But they all seemed to ve very athletic out of the gate. But 7'4. That's something you can't develop either. So it's a nice asset. The NBA needs someone like him to become a star. So I will root for him.

He doesn't have to be athletic really at that size, he just needs to be fluid and have good coordination. He looks raw but he's damn aggressive which is a big thing in his favor. No finger rolls there, he's just dunking.

Haters take note: Mamadou just led UC Irvine to the NCAA Tournament. First time in school history.

Mamadou is now 7'6" with 8'1" wingspan. He makes Rudy Gobert look like DMo.

No, the nba player by the same name was born in 1975. This is a common name in Senegal.

I watched him yesterday against Louisville. He has a move or two in the deep post, but he is way too slow to play in today's NBA. His conditioning is also an issue. Despite his height and size, I'm not sure he gets drafted, and even if he does he's going to struggle big time. Mamadou might be effective in the 90's NBA but not today's.
