I think a lot of people are discounting both just how good Rousey is. Zigano could probably defeat a lot of men too but Rousey is better. More specifically though Zigano made two crucial mistakes. The first was trying to come out with a big kick instead of setting something up. I understand she wants to get the surprise factor but that Rousey has been well prepared. The second was after the throw she fails to get control of Rousey and instead get's turned over. At that point the odds are stacked greatly against her once she allows Rousey to get the control position. This is something we teach in Judo and a difference between Judo and BJJ or some of the other submission focused arts. In Judo you can score and win with a pin so we focus on getting control and then going for the submission where as in some of the other arts they try to go for the submission as soon as possible. Given the respect that Rousey shows Zigano right after the fight it is pretty clear that she knows Zigano is a very tough fighter and not just cannon fodder. This is one where if a just a couple of things go the other way the fight will be different. While I still think Rousey wins I think it would be a much much closer match.
She tried to do a flying knee I think and that was just a disaster... as for Rhonda's next possible big money fight her opponent weighed 175 Sunday morning. https://twitter.com/criscyborg/status/572180609918894080/photo/1
A great and very stacked fight card this Saturday night. Can't wait!!! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/e4HM67s_4sY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/F2rCmGio7cg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iZYL0nJu6OA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This has been a great card. Best main event in a long time. Dos Anjos is fighting like his prize is a g*ngbang with all the ring girls.
That fight sucked(I'm a Pettis fan). But seriously, RDAnjos easily won all 5 rounds. Just dominated Showtime. Sidenote: Does it irk anyone else when a fighter immediately cedes control of the center of the Octagon at the start of a fight? I figure if both fighters want to control the center then they'll bang it out in the center for a little bit and whomever doesn't want to deal with the strikes anymore will then cede control. I just can't fathom ceding control of the center immediately unless you are an excellent olympic level wrestler to go for take downs with the back against the ring, because otherwise the fighter in the center has control over the pace of the fight.
I thought it was mentioned earlier that 192 will be in H-town later in the year? Not sure who is on the card but maybe it will be even better than 185. We can hope.

With Dos Anjos winning the Lightweight title, this could be the beginning of Brazilian fighters regaining domination in the UFC if Barao, Belfort, and Werdum win their respective title fights. Also, don't forget about The Spider. He'll be back as champion someday.
Lol c'mon man, wishful thinking. But yeah you may be right on with the first sentence and Brazilian domination in some of the weight classes soon.
I'm already hyped up about this fight even though it's 4 months away. <div id="fb-root"></div><script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.0"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153106516506276" data-width="466"><div class="fb-xfbml-parse-ignore"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153106516506276">Post</a> by <a href="https://www.facebook.com/UFC">UFC</a>.</div></div>

I'm just looking forward to the main event. The other fights on the card look average, my opinion btw. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WABpeLeizA0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
