For someone that has been around as long as the OP, you'd figure he'd realize most 2nd rd picks are pretty much meaningless as they can frequently be bought for straight cash.... so unless yer Les' accountant.... or think we need to use a few more 2nds on draft rights to more Euros that will never be in the NBA....

I agree with almost everything you said. Looks like Morey wanted a ball handler without giving up bigger assets. If McHale would play Pablo, I think it would benefit harden in a huge way. And on a smaller note, I'm getting tired of people screaming "he is shooting 20% from three!!!", but the dude only shoots the ball three times a game TOPs so I doubt he adds enough to the brick factory. People get mad at him for not taking every open look, yet they yell at everyone else for taking them!?!?!

Pablo has run some impressive pick and rolls in limited time.

I realize he isn't the "answer", but a marginal improvement is still improvement. I would like to see him gel more with the team.

Beverley couldn't throw a pass through an open door.

I agree that Morey is a moron for giving away two 2nd round picks to get a bench warmer in Pringles to replace a better looking cheer leader in Shved

    Russian women > italianas

Either way horrible thread without graphs

He's no Arron, but we need guys that can handle the ball. It gives James some relief from doing so much.

He reminds me of a better-shooting Ish Smith. He's older, but he has plenty of experience.

If Pat goes down, Pablo can at least handle the ball and distribute it to our main guys.

If he would agree to only shoot free throws, Rafer Alston would be great to have right now. I always felt comfortable when he had to get the ball up the court. There was once a vote among players (posted long ago) where they were asked about which guard they felt was most dependable for taking care of the ball. Rafer was right there, even without the stats.

Pablo doesn't have much athleticism, but he's had moments of great play-making.

I think he'll find his way in the playoffs.

***He is great at getting the ball into the post. Ask Carmelo.

That will pay off when Dwight returns and delivers us out of the first round with James.

He's coming back with something to prove.

Why do people keep bringing up 2 2nd rounders like it means anything? I wonder if people even knows which picks these are without googling them. From what I know of the internet, a 2019 FIRST round pick is generally treated as disposal assets, and there are people here flipping out about a 2nd rounder in 4 years like the Rockets are going to be screwed.

If you want to say the Rockets should've gone after a better PG at the deadline, so be it. But don't cry over 2017 and 2019 2nd rounders as if Phil Jackson performed highway robbery on Morey here.
