He was beyond horrible here. Seems like all guards improve when they leave here. Well, maybe not Lin.

No, he improved after his first stint here. Went on to Linsanity with the Knicks. We have a ton of players that do well elsewhere, Morey is a good GM that finds talent time and time again. We cant keep em' all.

Prigoni won't ever approach the game Shved had yesterday. Morey got owned esp giving away two draft picks. The Rox should have been on the receiving end of those picks for this trade to work.

I agree, that team is so terrible.. some scrub can easily score 20+ in a random game.

What gets me is not that we traded Shved for what's-his-name because both keep the bench the same temperature. But did we really have to trade 2 seconds for a lateral move? Not that the seconds are that valuable but who knows what you might find and stash.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see a string of 7 or 8 good games out of 10 from him.

Like other people have said, you can take out almost any player from the 8-12 man depth chart on a contender like the Rockets, GS, Clippers, etc... and amp up their usage and get the occasional stat-stuffed game.

If we started sitting Harden and replaced him with McDaniels and ran 30 plays for him per game we can sit here and talk about how we pulled off a heist during the trade deadline. Of course we'd also be losing 90% of our games.

But at the same time I don't want to imply every single player on a non-playoff team is a scrub so if I see consistent performance from him then I'll feel some remorse.

    This post is correct

Shved has potential, that is why we gave him a shot, but he was not successful in the role we needed from him. That isn't a knock on either party. Perhaps over time he develops into a true quality starting PG or a good energy guard off the bench (i.e, Udrih, Vasquez, Blake, etc.), but we just don't have the time or roster space to provide that for him.

Considering how tight our rotation is, the only way we would have kept Schved is if he fit in perfectly like Brewer did.
He might have potential, but he's definitely not championship rotation player material; at least not yet.

Shved looks like his workout routine consist of sitting in the jacuzzi and smoking a pack of cigarettes. The guy looks like a friggin anemic vampire.

Haha that made me laugh. Definitely appreciate the sense of humour, but it doesn't matter what he looks like. The guy can play.
