good thing imissed most of this game mchale didnt give himself an extension. he'd still make a great lead asst coach but not a head coach. thats what i wanted to happen this offseason. harden shouldnt even been playing in the 4th. 34 minutes!
We should start another thread--fire MOREY! For hiring McHale in the first place and keep on praising him when he's visibly not doing anything out there when the team most needs him. For not valuing PG play and (something imminent) wasting an MVP-type season from James Harden. For not eating up Dorsey's contract and getting a legit back-up center. We'll deal with the repercussions of that decision next year. but nah it's cap flexibility again ...
We have the worst fans in the nba. This was a trap game. There are 82 games in a season. You win some, you lose some
Yeah, I got a lot of that after the trade deadline because I was pushing for us to get Dragic no matter what the cost. Well, another season as evidence that we 're just spinning our wheels, this time in the 1st round of the playoffs, and then Les will really need to look hard at Morey. I just don't know if Les cares for anything other than the profits.
It's actually really simple, the 3's and layups doesn't work when 1) You can't hit a three. 2) The defense has elite shot blocking. This is where the stop and pop and midrange game should be used. For such a "old school" coach I don't get why he doesn't see this.
Lol trap game. Let's play harden 34 mins in a blowout loss on the second night of a b2b. Sounds like a great idea.
You just proved my point. A back to back trap game. Our players were tired. Utah has been wanting to beat us. They were well rested.
No, you just proved my point that Mcfail is an idiot. How the **** does harden log 34 mins in this game? A total blowout on the second night of a back to back.
This is why I have stopped blaming Mchale. James Harden is our real coach, he plays when he WANTS to play. Mchale cannot control James. We don't have a Pop coach we have a player's coach that means James is in charge, as we go so do we. When he is not hitting we're done. He needs help. It's that simple.
Philadelphia fans might have something to say about that. They know they are the worst fan base in all of sports.
Because it's NOT his decision. Morey's game philosophy (threes, layups and FTs) is driven by his models (based on his own analytics). The only thing Morey has little control over is in-game rotations. But, if he doesn't like a player, he'll force Mchale's hand by trading said player(s) at the trade deadline or offseason. McHale obviously has no control in personnel either. This team is built and run by Morey, make no mistake. But the buck stops with Les. Nobody else is responsible for paying out contact extensions to coaches and GMs.
Can't defend Mchale now. Dude still can't get his team to play at a high level consistently. They looked lost on their rotation on defense. Can't rebound to save their lives. Can't hit wide open 3's. Too many stagnation in their offense. Smh
yeah, but at what point does the coach say I gotta prepare and play my other guys because right now my main guys don't have it holding the players accountable=your only recourse is to play someone else but after dismal play, and we keep trotting out the same line-up time after time. all you wanna see is the coach try something else. if it still doesn't work, then okay, we accept it
We are. That's why a ton of threads about Bev and Dmo etc. We learned to temper our expectations of JSmith and Dorsey
