What a horrible horrible performance tonight. Got handled like some weak chumps on the boards again. Harden our supposedly MVP was a no show again. It's like he doesn't want to play against teams that are physical.
Oh well on to the next one. Must win against the Clippers Sunday

count...assuming that happens, what kind of playing shape do you think he will be in ? This is a guy that just within the last 5 days or so got on a REGULAR treadmill for the first time. I'm just not as confident of his impact upon his return.

Harden's shooting has absolutely plummeted recently, I wonder if it's mental or is it something else? I feel like when his shot isn't falling he becomes super passive on offense and his defensive intensity fall off also.

It seems like lower-ranked teams (DET, UTA, MINN) have their big men rosters set while we are gonna start looking to get bigs again after Howard's injury and we let go of Asik.

    Yeah, rinse and repeat again.

Trade DMo and recruit a defensive rebounding big. Give Dorsey a one-way ticket back to Europe. Capela is not the answer either.

At this rate, Durant is not coming and we may not be able to re-sign Harden.

Time to start a new rotation on Sunday. Harden, Prigioni, DMo, TJones, Brewer.

If he comes back against Minnesota, he'll have 11 games to get into playing shape and develop some chemistry with the rest of the team. That should be more than enough time. He may be rusty early on, but he should be fine by the time the playoffs roll around.

Brewer(5), Harden(4), Dorsey(4) and TJ(10) had more rebounds than DMO. Ariza matched him with THREE...that's three. He almost matched the 4 from last night though.

    KMac:

17 offensive rebounds in the first half, hard to overcome that.

If we don't rebound better, we're gonna have a lot of bad nights.

    Ball movement better tonight?

No. We didn't move the ball. They had 10 shots and dominated the paint. Didn't matter what we did. We couldn't make a jump shot. Bigs didn't move well to get open when Gobert was controlling the paint. They beat the hell out of us. Nothing else to say. They dominated the glass. Just beat the hell out of us.

(Gobert) We wanted to go at him to see if we could foul and get him out of there.

    James tired?

    Ask James.

    Anything specifically they did?

    They whooped our ass.

    That's it?

    Yeah, pretty much.

Not sure if they did anything specifically you didn't see coming or what it might have been.

(Laughing) It'd be unique to see something you haven't seen before.

Maybe he didn't want to make excuses for Harden.

Relax lol we were never going to get Durant in the first place and harden will re-sign as a rocket. Also Dmo is a finesse PF who can play spot minutes at the 5 because he is 7ft tall, not 34 minutes a game though....

Read between the lines. That's an admission that he knows James is tired. Otherwise, McHale would have answered in the negative.

    What McHale is actually thinking:

    James tired?

"I hope not, because then this team is screwed."

He only played 23 mins....the same as TJ. DMO got 3 rebounds, TJ got 10 in the same 23 mins. Bev was 4 of 8 from the field. Harden was 3 of 13 and 0-5 from trey land play 34 mins. Brew played 32 mins with 25 pts. DMO was 0-2 from the FT line and is 0 for the last 2 games. He did score 15 though. Other than being unable to rebound and shoot FT..oh, and set a pick he is fine. Does finesse mean soft as a baby's butt ? And a trade would be in order here IMO. Agree we were never getting Durant.

This is his 3rd year as a Rocket, right? Two more years--if he doesn't get to even sniff a chance at a championship with us, he'll be gone.

He will team up wherever Durant goes--is my prediction.
