I think we always hear the line when people are shot by the police that "if people don't want to get shot, then follow the police's orders".

The same can be said for the police... "If they don't want people to resent them then don't discriminate."

    1. Boss Hogg wasn't racist. He liked Sheriff Little when he was a jerk to the Duke boys. Sheriff Little did hate Hogg but that was only because he was such an incompetent law enforcement officer.

    2. bold isn't a verb, don't use it as one.

    1. I still cannot believe that there was a popular show about white people messing with cops. I am further amazed that they have brought this back as an advertising campaign lately. The black version of Dukes of Hazard would last about one quarter of one episode after cops filled them with lead.

    2. Common usage. "I bolded the main points of the letter" for instance. It may not be proper usage, but if irregardless can make it into a real word (although I will never accept that), then "bolded" can certainly make it in.

They weren't messing with cops. They were just making their way the only way they knew how.

Unfortunately, the law didn't allow it, just by a tad.

Every single person who gets arrested resents the cop that busted them. I think the cops are used to being resented.

Not following police orders gets you dead. If this is an acceptable outcome for you then go ahead.

All of this blood is on the hands of the Ferguson police chief, the municipal judge, the city manager, and the police department. They are the instigators of all this nonsense. They're criminals and they should be in prison. They violated the Constitutional rights of these people for years, ruining lives and forcing people to live in fear of the police.

No, the blood is on the hands of those encouraging the lynch mob mentality in Furguson. It's fortunate that this hasn't happened more often. Get a crowd of angry stupid people and bad things like this happen.

Wow -- you really have very poor logic.

I'm convinced you hate white people. Did a white steal your girlfriend at some point? Why the jealousy and hatred?

I know of some folks who get arrested who understand they broke the law and the cops were doing their job. I think the real resentment happens when the police target individuals based on race.

Protesters talking **** after police shot. We're dealing with truly sick people in Ferguson -- the protesters. Violence and looting are their game. Shameful cowards destined for failure, poverty or jail the rest of their life.

Don't blame the crowd. Everyone who organized the protests and most of those that participated don't support shooting cops.

The people who deserve the blame are the ones who thought it was a good worthwhile idea to shoot the cops.

If you want to deny the idea of people taking personal responsibility for their actions, then it would only be fair to cast the blame at those officers and officials who were racist in their application of the law. Secondly blame should go to those that didn't speak out or hold the people who did these accountable.

If you are going to blame someone other than those who committed the crime then its only fair that some of the blame goes to those that actually committed the injustice that angered people.

It's very strange to blame those who call out and stand up to those who have committed systemic injustices and corrupted the criminal justice system but not blame those that actually did the corrupting.

Yeah, and I suppose the blood of Ronald Reagan and James Brady was on Martin Scorsese's, Paul Schrader's, and Robert DeNiro's hands, the principals of Taxi Driver which directly influenced Hinckley. Boy, you're really a dolt dressed up as an idiot sometimes.

Come on, Holder and Obama cleared fanned the flames here, all initially over an incident where Officer Wilson was completely vindicated.

Nope -- check out the last couple pages of the Boko Haram thread -- he and I disagree at times. I'll take the comparison to him as a compliment though, as I appreciate them as a poster and typically agree with him (though, I am seemingly more of an advocate of radical actions and insurrectionism).

You are simply confusing me. I am trying to be logical about this. These people that shot the police officers- they were adults, right? Well, we don't know about the others yet, but the one who shot the 2 officers in NYC-was he an adult? Did he go there with clear intent to kill, or was this a heat-of-the-moment reaction? Clearly, from all reports, it was premeditated. So, you're telling me that we should place the blame on the protesters, Obama, and Holder rather than the guy with the gun that pulled the trigger, right?

Fact: Most police officers are great.
Fact: Some police officers are bad.

Fact: All black people are targets for discrimination.

Ask any black person- heck, ask the most famous of the famous. Ask Magic Johnson. Ask Russell Simmons. Ask President Obama. Ask Oprah Winfrey. If the most famous black people in our country have been subjected to discrimination- I'm talking when they were in adulthood, and sometimes after they became famous, what do you think the average black person has to deal with? Come on, you need to think here. You need to really, truly shed your beige skin and slip on brown skin for a day and feel what it's like.

As far along as we've come, we cannot "tire" of dealing with the race issue, but should welcome it as creating solutions for racial issues will better all of us in the long run.

Why does the uncouth trash talking about injured cops bother you so much, but the uncouth trash talking about dead people killed by cops doesn't seem to bother you at all?
