Yet, Motiejunas grabs over 7 rebounds with or without Howard, and it's his 1st year, not 3rd. Same with Marc, with or without Randolph on the court - he won't rebound more...

He is a subpar rebounder. Period. There is no way around it.

This is like trying to argue Dwight Howard is a good free throw shooter and post up player, that Patrick Beverley is a good passer, Trevor Ariza has sick handles, or Terrence Jones has a pretty jumpshot.

Yes. Of course the bigs suppose to get the board. However, when the other big is more atheistic and stronger than you, hard for you to straightly out rebound him. But you can always boxing out, then your teammate can get the board. Thats why basketball is a team work.

This. All of those guys have other strengths, but the truth about their weaknesses is just that -- the truth. DMo does many things well. Rebounding is not one of those things.

DMo rebound 11.9% total available rebounds not much, compare to Bosh and Griffin 12.1% or defensive monster Ibaka 12.6%, be shame all haters. With DMo on the floor team play more IQ basketball, most of the screens for Beard came from him, hes allways try help with team defence.. Compare his improvement from last year and now. From all coments it seems that DMo worst player in NBA and if so why DM dont trade him if he has no value on the court?

He was on Aldridge .... So he was not playing center ... That is not an excuse.

There's actually zero excuse for it. He sucks at rebounding.

But if we all agree he was guarding Aldridge then Lopez grabbing offensive rebound after offensive rebound shouldnt be on him either. It can't go both ways.

Good thing LMA didn't drop 44-46pts on him. Now that would have been embarassing (no offense to T-Jones).

It was a great read! But I don't think anyone on CF is surprised or denies how effective D-Mo is as a post threat. He has some great footwork and his hook shot is money. It is his underwhelming rebounding ability and overrated D that everyone is upset about. D-Mo plays on offense like a center, but he struggles to guard centers. Especially the athletic & physical centers.

And as good as he has been on offense, I still cringe when he has a clear lane to the hoop and does not take it strong to the rack instead settling for layups or kicks it out to the wings. And his FT shooting has regressed as the season has progressed, but then again all the Rockets bigs are woeful at the charity stripe.

Actually I have no idea what you're talking about because you failed to say anything other than "he was guarding Aldridge."

I'm just pointing out that some say his defense sucks. But thats not true (in general) for last night because he guarded Aldridge very well And got him into foul trouble.

If not dmo, LMA would score 40pts yesterday easily but who cares? Dmo struggles to rebound, so just lets start calling him a scrub and demand to fire him, he is worthless! He have really small bb iq and he dont rebound and is really bad player overall!
Of course without dmo rockets wouldn't have 43-21 record and because of that harden wouldn't be in conversation for MVP. But who cares? Lets just be honest and call this guy soft euro scrub!
P.s. Everyone who is going to argue with me is just a pathetic Dmo defender, who have 1000 excuses why dmo dont suck.

We know he has gator arms and no hops, but the problem is that he doesn't compete at all for rebounds.

Jazz Game: Just midway through 1st quarter and I am losing patience with this clown.

How can you not even compete?
