Foster is like the Spurs. Every year we expect decreased production. Every year he surprises. He WAS the offense last year. The ironic thing about today was Mathews being traded to Philly. We were going to take him instead of K Jax and likely Foster would be elsewhere. Thanks Chargers.
Staying with Andre in coverage isn't really hard to do these days, and I'm not talking about having a safety on him in coverage anyway, I'm talking about having a safety de-cleat him after he catches the ball. He already showed last season that he can't take a hard hit anymore without coughing up the ball, I'm hoping for more of that.
.....give it up, bro. We all know you thought Andre sucked last year. No reason to wish big hits on the greatest Texan ever. Wishing Andre nothing but the best.
Wishing Andre "nothing but the best" is as miscalculated as wishing a big hit upon him, if you're a true Texans fan at least. I'm a big Andre fan, but I'm a bigger Texans fan. I would want nothing but the best for Andre...if he weren't in our division, maybe conference so long as our paths did not align. But he is. And they will. I don't want "nothing but the best" for him, because what I want for him and IND is to be irrelevant. I don't care if he takes big hits. I will not endorse that view. But this is the NFL and he takes that risk. For the love of God our benevolence cannot extend to in-conference foes, IMO. If you want to be an Andre fan, don't be a Texans fan. Because the two are no longer synonymous.
We still need an NT, Safety, ILB, & OLB. If you can get Wilfork and maybe a guy like Brandon Spikes. That patches up 2 holes. You can probably draft a solid OLB and Safety. Another need will obviously be WR2 which I assume will be drafted too. I don't know how they're going to do with this limited amount of cap left though.
It's like an ex girlfriend that you're on good terms with. You don't want to see anything bad happen to them... you just don't want their life to suddenly turn great the moment they leave you behind - you don't want them to end up with some rich Adonis movie star type and a great new job. Nothing bad. I just want Andre to wonder in the back of his mind a couple of times during the season about whether he would have been better off restructuring to stay with the Texans. I don't want him lamenting how horrible his life is - no permanent injury or death. I just don't want him to say, "Damn, leaving the Texans behind is the best decision I ever made."
Totally different situation in Indy he has a elite qb, a deep threat receiver on the other side and Colts won't put Andre in those tough spots as much as Texans did. Andre won't be doubled as much because of the other offensive threats just a totally different situation and offensive gameplan. If Andre gets hurt it will be a hamstring injury or something like that.
None of that makes up for Andre's declining abilities. He wasn't getting open last year even when he was in one on one coverage...even when he did get open and the pass was on target all too often he'd drop it or fumble it....things you can't blame on the QB, though I should probably say "shouldn't blame on the QB" because if you guys have taught me anything it's that you'll blame the QB for damn near anything.

I still don't get why we're going after Moore. I personally thought Lewis and Swearinger were a good combo last year. They played solid, the duo got picks(I think 2 each) and forced hella fumbles. Aside from the occasional missed tackle from Swearinger he brings a toughness to the team that i like and we need that. I just don't think we should be throwing money around where its not needed. I do my best to watch every game but I did miss a few games because of work so please correct me if I'm wrong.
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/houston-texans/cap/ All updated. Have around $6MM in disposable cap space (could get up to $16MM by cutting Joseph and Graham). I think Moore and Wilfork is out of the realm of possibility but one of them is definitely attainable.
Thanks for being reasonable. I actually don't care about him breaking records but I do like that he is getting the respect that he's deserved as an all time great WR. What I would like is for him and the organization to make up and he comes back and retires a Texan.
You know what would make you stop feeling like that? A girlfriend or wife who is even hotter than your ex. Then you could care less what happens with your ex.
Fitzpatrick has been traded to the Jets, but what did we get? Whatever, I am thrilled. I don't want to ever see that guy play again. It was painful to watch.
