Bruce Carter on the inside with Cush and Daquan Bowers on the opposite end of Watt will make anything contributed from Clowney gravy. I'd still love to see them go after Crabtree but he might be too expensive at this point. Why haven't we cut Graham yet btw?
Partly why I want him. He gives us depth and moderately better coverage. Swearinger has the tackling part down, at least. If he wants 5MM, he can go kick rocks. Just draft somebody.
I am all for a Joseph cut if we could turn it into Rahim Moore, Da'Quan Bowers, and Bruce Carter. We'd have the room.

Official.

#Texans have signed Brian Hoyer. Swearinger doesn't have the tackling part down unfortunately. He has the hitting part down. Sadly he's more focused on landing a hit than actually securing a tackle.
Texans got Hoyer and Mallett for the same amount of guaranteed money as McCown and only $1MM more than Sanchez. Nice.

Kenrick Lewis news: -ESPN's Tania Ganguli has mentioned that the Texans are very much wanting Kendrick Lewis back in Houston for the upcoming season. Some would expect that the Texans will let the first wave of free agency pass then make their move for Lewis. The Texans currently have three free agent safeties heading into the new league year in Lewis, Danieal Manning, and restricted free agent Eddie Pleasant. http://hou.scout.com/story/1525815-texans-free-agent-rumors-part-five?s=116

This is the worst kind of post. Please consider lurker status if you don't have anything to contribute. That said I will now take my own advice. Carry on with the Twitter quotes and opinions in regard to recent Texans moves/rumors.

I just really hope these contracts are easily terminated next season. I am never going to support Hoyer. He is a mid level to low level QB and nothing more. The fact the Texans were okay taking the refuse from the BROWNS of all places, fills my heart with sadness.
Looks like Hoyer will have a cap number of at least $5.25MM this year (with a $3.75MM roster bonus and $1.5MM base). So between he and Mallett we are spending around $9MM for quarterback play.
