And I'm sure he'll lead the Toronto Raptors to the championship.....but what does that have to do with the Texans?

But several other teams don't need to absorb a $16 million dollar cap hit to acquire him.

Again, it comes down to money... and roles defined in part by how much a player is producing and getting paid.

If Dre signs with Indy (or any team in the division or the Cowboys).... F him.

Agreed. I understand why he is not a viable option with the Texans, especially with the money.

The Texans were 84-108* with Andre Johnson - and that was, for the most part, in his prime Andre Johnson. And it's not just AJ; the Lions are 40-72 with Calvin Johnson, including an 0-16 season.

Not their fault; but the idea that WRs - even all-time, unprecedented monsters like Megatron - are difference makers is a myth. And when you pack on age, role... I mean, he doesn't make them "worse"..... but they're not jumping from 11 wins to 13 because of him.

    * It's actually worse because he was injured for their best stretch of football; but I don't really have the time to break it all down.

The Colts fell backwards into Andrew Luck; otherwise, their personnel decisions have been dreadful. That they think Andre Johnson is a priority and that Frank Gore is the answer at RB doesn't exactly strike me a ringing endorsement.........

The only time it's good when pancakes is right is when it means the most annoying radio talk show host in Houston (actually it's a tie with all of them) is wrong.

If he's serious about winning. This is his best shot. He knows the offense and he gets to play with Manning before he retires. He may have to take a paycut.

I just hope people don't give him **** about "betraying" the Texans by signing with the closest thing we have to a Rival. It's not like he is bolting for more money when we were trying to sign him.

Please go to New England/Denver/Miami... anywhere but Indy.

Well it's certainly an "F you" to Houston, but if he was still a good player I'd care a lot more. Indy can have his Toronto Raptors years.

I think Seattle will have an opportunity to pry him away. They have the role he is looking for and a much better team.

But all of his buddies are in Indy. Damn

Well Indy actually cut his best friend for being an old WR not too long ago, so not ALL of his buddies are there. I think Seattle is at a disadvantage because he wants to play with a good QB.

Lol. The Texans cut him it's just business. He signs with a good team with a good QB, it's an FU.

Do you blame him for your Fitz sucking or something?

I keep waiting for someone to bring up the way AJ acted like a pouty little b**** last off season , and the way he tried to strong arm the team, but if anybody has, I missed it. I guess everybody's just forgotten?

Texans did to AJ what AJ tried to do to the Texans last year. The difference is the Texans had the leverage to pull it off (because the owners have rigged the game).

Acting like AJ is a doe eyed little country girl, taken for a ride by the hucksters in the big city is wrong. The difference between the Texans and AJ wasn't intent. It was power.

If AJ goes to Indy, everybody's just taking care of themselves. BOB undoubtedly had enough sense to realize that AJ might end up in Indy. If the possibility was beyond the pale, he wouldn't have cut him.
