His "good-bye" note read like his door was wiiiiiiiiiide open to a return. I think he'll chase money - but if the Pats are close, I always assumed he'd go back.

    Leigh Bodden all over again.

Altough the fact that Romeo Crennel and Vrabel are here gives me some hope the Texans aren't being duped.

We are getting duped. No doubt about it.

so who are the remaining Texans' candidates to restructure their contracts or potentially get traded/released?

Largest salaries for restructuring: Brown, Joseph? Anyone else?

Poor Case. Getting passed around by the Texans like a cheap hooker.

Graham could be cut. Would make sense.

yep. Forgot about him. Graham...I actually like Ryan Griffin, I think he could step it up with Fedorowicz... agree, Graham probably gone.

    Brown (restructure?)
    Joseph (restructure?--traded?)
    Graham (likely to be released?)

Restructures are not likely. Either cut or leave their contracts alone... restructures hurt our cap sheet a lot going forward.

If anyone is going to get cut it will be Joseph and then Graham. I don't see Duane going anywhere.

That isn't necessarily true that it hurts the cap going forward. It depends entirely on what the restructure consists of. Don't listen to John McClain on this. He didn't even know they could do it a few years ago.

I don't know why you would assume he would chase money but it would probably depend on how much money you think is chasing. Because if someone offers him an offer he can't refuse... That's not chasing money... That's just being smart.

I understand, they could move it to a roster bonus. But the most popular restructure is transferring base pay to signing bonus money and that is spread out over the life of the contract. I would be content with a restructure/extend of Joseph as long as it isn't any more than 2 or 3 years.

Colts are going to be in cap hell next year. Luck deal + all of these veterans with big guarantees in the second year of their deals.

    Oh, and Hilton.

They might be SB contenders next year but the roster is going to be depleted going forward. Depth wasn't even good there in the first place.

Are the Texans gonna even try to pick up some good players this offseason? Last offseason was quite too. Feels like a plan to be mediocre. I would have preferred Foles over Hoyer..

    1. 9-7 isn't mediocre.
    2. Realistically who are we trading for Foles?
