    No, that was Ron Artest.

No. Griffin plays PF for the Clips and has trouble controlling his emotions. He had multiple techs last season and wrestled around with Bogut and PJ Tucker for no apparent reason besides he didn't like the physicality being used against him.

Someone needs to tell him that being 'tough' isn't the same thing as being a 'thug' on the court. He needs to tone this nonsense down.

Yes, he does. Or it'll cost him his career eventually.

Damn, just now saw it. Very much a punk move to hit a guy like that from behind. He should be punished heavily; substantial fine plus multiple games.

So your only connection to that entire list of star athletes is what then exactly...

And yes... I know that was Ron Artest. That was the point of your non-point. Those players have no connection to what is being characterized as major red flags with Hassan Whiteside that has kept teams from investing in him long term.

Sure every player has his scrutiny, but your making no sense in whatever point you are trying to make by connecting ALL of these players to Hassan Whiteside.

Maybe you could make a comparison to DeMarcus Cousins. But Whiteside isn't Cousins from a talent perspective, or at least hadn't been up until this year. As Morey said the other day... He just didn't play well (up until now). So it was an easy choice for teams to pass on trying to develop him when A. He hadn't shown the ability to play the game, and on top of that B. He had still shown huge character issues.

Now he can play, but still has the character issues. Teams are now going to give him more of a shot, but there are still red flags galore. And there should be NO criticism for any GM (Morey especially) who decided to pass on him years ago several times.

I have never heard an NBA player talk about a teammate the way Wade just did. There's something seriously wrong with this kid. This is more than just being a little hot headed.

Your list in incoherent. Point is that Whiteside is a head case. He's further along now when the Rockets org cut ties with him, but present behavior should remind you why he's not with us now.

There's plenty of head cases in the NBA. One of 2 things will happen here. Either he and the Heat will figure out a way to manage his ADD and mental issues OR they'll cut him and go on down the road. I advocated for us to sign him to a minimum salary non-guaranteed contract. May I remind you, that would have been a RISKLESS signing. He could have been cut. We cut Ish and Adrien already and gave them their money.

I have never advocated he be paid big $$$. Even after he broke out and others were talking about him being a max player and such. You won't find any post from me advocating that in any way. I simply thought he was better than most of the reserve centers in the NBA today, better than Dorsey, and better than most any other 7-footer walking the streets at that time.

Now we're vacillating to the other extreme of "He shouldn't be in the league. This is why he's not a Rocket.", yada, yada, yada. That's as extreme in that direction as thinking he is a max player was.

Could he become a max player? Yes. Could he be out of the league in a couple MONTHS? Yes. If he doesn't get it together. But to act like this incident seals his fate is way over the top just like pronouncing him a max player was way over the top.

The point that somehow in your world

Andrew Bogut is connected with Lebron James who is connected with Dennis Rodman who is connected with Blake Griffin, etc. etc. which ultimately all connects back to Hassan-mother-lovin-Whiteside?

Please explain since I am so damn clueless.

They all play or played basketball? Are you trying to suggest they all are headcases? ... Well truthfully most people have their moments in life, but there is a world of difference between the average joe who listened to the Cure in college, and had a strange addiction to midget p*rn and what is displayed openly in public from the mind of someone with the deep seeded issues of a Ron Artest, or Dennis Rodman. Especially someone like Artest who had a knack for violent behavior with little control.

Thank God Artest got help and got that under control, but that's something all together in a totally different ball park than normal everyday headcase moments most people have. I'm not sure if Whiteside is Artest-like crazy, but the NBA seems to have not wanted to take the chance in finding out.

So listing out & connecting character issues of someone like a Blake Griffin and the character issues of someone like an Artest is totally arbitrary.

It's a weird double standard, he's considered a goon, but people say they miss the style of play that Pistons and Knicks brought to the game.
