    Good. Lord.

Andre Johnson doesn't make the Colts *better* - few WR2s have that type of impact on a team, and they're plenty good already. He is, from their perspective, a lateral move. I'm frankly at a loss why the Colts would even want to spend money on him and Gore but, by all means - have at it. Please.

My nightmare scenario as we entered free agency was that the Colts would front-load a 5,000-year extension for Luck, sign Murray and throw a whole bunch of talent at their defense. And if they were desperate to upgrade their WRs, kick the tires on a true gamechanger liek Cobb. Using valuable resources on two aging former stars is a near best-case scenario, from the Texans' perspective.

Aging WR like Steve Smith. That guy was horrible last year.

You're right. #2 WRs don't make a difference. demander Hopkins as #2 didn't make the team better than Kevin Walter.

79 catches and 100o yards is horrible?

Absolutely, his team killed it, one whole game ahead of the Texans in the standings. Impressive. Of course they didn't actually beat the Texans.....but that's okay.

8 TDs, 1200 yards for AJ next year.

    BBS explodes with anger.

Demander wasn't the Texans' WR2 last year; your BFF was.

It all depends on how the Texans do, if they are in the playoffs, not many will care. That said, it's probably closer to 6 TD's and 1000 yards.

Oops. Autocorrect. Lol. But I was referring to two years ago when he was a rookie.

Yeah. Talking about Steve Smith here. Did pretty well for a washed up aging WR2.

I would agree, but I wasn't going to be so rude as to flat out accuse you of it.

Nimo... nobody thinks Andre Johnson is washed up; it's likely he'll have a very quiet 90/1000/4 season in the shadow of the far more dangerous TY Hilton.

What we *do* think is 1) he's no longer worth his contract; 2) even at his peak, Andre Johnson didn't appreciably move the needle here, so to expect him - at 34 - to be a difference maker, is silly. The team's unquestionably best season ('11) featured him on the sideline for most of it and it only derailed when the everyone-is-glad-he's-gone QB got hurt.

He was certainly a great player; he may likely have a few years left. But his impact is being severely inflated by a lot of people here. The Colts aren't winning 11 games without him? They could start a corpse opposite Hilton and their TEs and they'll win 10+ games.

I agree. I get it. I would say at least 5 Texans are more important than him. I've already said I don't mind releasing him. I understand it. But we can't act like he can't make a team better. He is a worthy #2 receiver. At least several teams still think so.
