This is brilliant, same action different morality because of race. Where do Asians fall? Specifically how morally reprehensible is it when people are racist towards them and when they are racist with respect white/black. Wait nevermind, this type of determination seems very racist.
No, those two motives or intents have drastically different consequences. Do you honestly believe that a community will not have ANY lingering resentment that spans multiple generations when 300 years of slavery and 100 years of institutionalized disenfranchisement is forced upon them? Do you think that resentment has any merit or rational basis? Do you believe that if your community or race experienced that sort of disenfranchisement with prior generations that your grandfather or father might not spread some hateful rhetoric of those who forced that disenfranchisement upon your very recent ancestors? There is rational and logical explanations for resentment. There is none for claiming ethnic superiority other than being a dick.
It's fortunate that this behavior was caught the one and only time it happened. Let that be a lesson.
no they're both wrong. the blacks need to remember the whites who enslaved them were very different. polish or italian or jewish people weren't whites back in the day and they didn't own slaves, but today they are called white. also the great-grandchildren of racist people from the 40s shouldn't be resented because they weren't the ones who done it.
No it just means that this stuff won't be on youtube no more because they will look out for cameras and smart cell phones. a couple rich fellas from my hometown pledged at a few frats at a&m and ole miss, and everyone knows they are racist to the bone. wouldn't surprise anyone if they done this sort of thing.

Do you know if your ancestors have done something illegal? If they did, are you willing to compensate the descendants of whom your ancestors did something to? What if one of your ancestors was a murderer? How do you intend to compensate the descendants of the victim?
Who are you to tell black people what they should remember... And judging by the video ---> those whites are not very different from their ancestors.
If I knew of my ancestors doing wrong to others I would try to compensate and or support their descendents the best I could. Just like you do with the European Jewish people because of what happened to them in Germany.
For past transgressions forced upon the Jewish community, all the international community did was CREATE AN ENTIRE ****ING NATION-STATE for them. Anyways, my comments were not about what ought to be done but about whether Black resentment for past transgressions is a reasonable human condition. And if you consider it not reasonable you are implying that if the roles were reverse and Caucasians were enslaved by African Americans for 300 years and then were disenfranchised for additional 100 years this same level of resentment would not exist after only one to two generations of this institutionalized disenfranchisement being ALLEGEDLY abolished. You are basically stating that there is something intrinsic about the African American race to hold grudges longer than other races. It's called taxes. People support plenty of people already with government programs that essentially enslave the middle class...
No one is owed anything based on their ancestors furthermore... If that's the case, I want to be supported because of the brutal treatment my Irish ancestors faced.
