It's ok to give two 2nd round picks for someone who will contribute but the only contribution Prigs has so far has been cheerleading with an IT programmer look from the bench and playing garbage time mostly FFS, two 2nd round picks should go to an instant contributor or a guy with future potential, not some 37 year old. Our PG situation is no better than it was before the deadline and we lost some picks for that. Both Shved and PP are DNP -CD's

The Rockets sent out 2 picks that are likely gonna be in the 50's. You can buy a pick like that for nothing. That deal was strictly book keeping. If you wanna complain that we didn't make a real deal to help this season go ahead, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the deals we made.

And, Morey still has that potential lottery pick as well as the probable 2015 and 2016 high second round picks. And, the Rockets currently have the 3rd best record in the West and 4th best in the NBA. And, if Howard comes back healthy for the playoffs, that is akin to acquiring an elite big man for nothing. The Rockets have been able to continue to win while getting big contributions from Smith, Jones, Brewer, Terry and DMo - all Morey acquisitions.
Yes I agree that smith and company have been good pickups. The point is though that none of his mid season nor offseason acquisitions addressed the glaring hole we have at PG and second perimeter scorer when Harden takes a breather. It's an issue he could have fixed with a 2019 2nd rounder.
