This guy would've made a world of difference, he's having many great assist games and he can shoot. He could've taken Prigioni's minutes easily..

I want(ed) offseason now hopefully) him still he's a smart player, and seems like a big team player he had all the opportunity to be an allstar, or at least put up all star numbers in minny...but took a backseat to develop the young guys. Now he's asked to score and dish and playing like a madman. He's the kinda guy we need a player that will do whatever is asked on any given night. He reminds me of a younger jason terry.

I can definitely see why we didnt want to waste a 2019 second round pick on this marginal scrub who wouldn't made any sort of real impact on this team. yup, not a needle mover at all.

    3/3/15 vs Lakers
    20 pts/13 ast/3 reb/2-5 3pt/4 TO/

    3/4/14 vs Brooklyn
    14 pts/14 ast/3 reb/2-6 3pt/1 TO

And yet Morey send two 2nd round draft picks for 37 year old Pringles who is glued to the bench.

    Go figure.

Who the hell said mos the key? He was a good piece that, unlike your earlier assertion, would have been an upgrade over bev, terry, and yes canaan.

This seems to be rather wrong. Pretty much everything that has come out of the Hornets since his signing was that he is a pro's pro and he's said multiple times he's holding the reins until Kemba gets healthy. My understanding is that he played the role he was asked in Minny as well.

How does this scrub still have a job in the NBA?

    3/6/15 vs Raptors
    23 pts/7 ast/7-14 FGA/4-8 3pt/3 TO

    3/8/15 vs Pistons
    21 pts/9 ast/6-15 FGA/1-5 3pt/1 TO

Obviously not an upgrade over the PGs we have on our roster. Good thing we managed to save that 2019 second round pick and kept our young developing Guards like Shved that will play an integral role in our future.

It's a rocket's traction of setting position's priorities , aside from Steve Francies, a med-core player is Ok ,you don't need to pay short people a lot of money . It's maybe Les's philosophy

Anybody saying he would not be of much help and his stats are good because he's starting or whatever, are in denial. He would've made a big difference as opposed to Terry at PG!

I was pissed we didnt get him but then I read on here he we wasnt going to win a championship with him anyways. Amyways, back to my old statement. We Dont value point guards, chemistry, and coaching

I don't think this has to do with not valuing point guards and more to do with the fact that Morey usually goes for the kill shot type move versus the incremental improvement right in front of him.

After Dwight was signed, he made a run at Josh Smith but couldn't make a sign and trade work with Atlanta. He could have had made a run at Milsap but didn't.

He had a shot at Lowry this offseason but wanted to go for Melo first.

At the trade deadline, he seemingly was focused in other areas (even mentioning he was talking big time players) while letting other moves like a Mo Williams slip past him.

Morey has an approach and philosophy to being GM that has gotten himself and the Rockets some success so it’s hard to argue with the overall results. We can be passive aggressive to angry over some of his decisions but like Rick Smith, he isn't going anywhere. The one thing that is good from this trade deadline is that some of the hero worshipping that occasionally popped up on this board about Morey has stopped. He is a very good GM and we are lucky to have one of the better ones, but until his philosophy produce a title, he really can't be called the best.

On the brightside, he kept the Pelicans pick and the Knicks pick so let's hope those turn out well so that the championship contending window stays open longer.

This is exactly my problem with him. Had he focused on an overall philosophy versus the big splash, we might have a team of Howard, Harden, Lowry. Tell me that wouldn't be as good as any other top 3 in the West (when Howard is healthy)

So you're problem with Morey is he didn't assemble that big 3. But he got two of those guys. How many teams struck out on getting any superstars?

You're assuming a baseline of Harden-Howard as if Morey had nothing to do with acquiring them.

And we were going for Bosh when Lowry signed

I bolded that last part for you. his gming philosophy is too much like the way he wants us to play basketball, way too much hit or miss, and not enough consistency. Bosh was a pipe dream that was never going to happen. If Morey wasn't trying to swing for the fences, he would have recognized that. Bosh only would have left Miami if 1) he got a lot more money and 2) Lebron ditched the Heat. Morey saw that both was probably going to happen but in his frantic obsession with getting a big 3, he never considered just what would happen once Lebron left the Heat. I don't know how he never considered that the Heat would simply put all their money into Bosh. I really think he was overanxious and in his haste to get Bosh, dropped the ball on Lowry and other useful pieces like Isiah Thomas

If he wasn't swinging for the fences we wouldn't have Harden and Dwight
