No they don't. Most fans understand that, at his current salary, he's vastly overpaid. If he wants to take a salary commiserate with being a WR2 who catches 40-50 passes, no one would be upset. But he’s no longer the best WR on this team.
I have wondered what Foles is worth and what the Eagles are asking in return. If players like Matt Schaub and Kevin Kolb fetch multiple first day picks (coupled with long-term contracts once the trades were completed), does that make Foles worth the same or maybe just a single first round pick? It seems the Eagles want to create a bidding war and the Texans decided to go and get what they could now in guys who are familiar with the system. The depth chart going into the draft (based on today's reports holding true) will be Mallet 1a/Hoyer 1b/Savage 3. Unless Savage's injury is worse than has been reported or the coaching staff doesn't think he is progressing, my guess is the Texans punt on taking a QB in this draft and wait for next year. With all the holes on the roster, the Texans might as well draft to create competition on the roster versus looking for another project QB.
If the Texans miss on Hoyer, what about a trade with Philly, Foles for AJ? I'd feel better with Foles as Mallet's competition.
How would you rank the following in terms of how much you'd want them on the roster for $3.5? And sure, you might think a guy like Kap is talented in general but he obviously doesn't fit here. I couldn't see O'Brien reconstructing the offense just for him, especially with Mallett likely starting. Hoyer Bradford RG3 Foles Kap

As much as I like Foles, noway would Philly trade for a guy whos gonna get cut regardless because of his contract.
You can't name too many quarterbacks who are better than Flacco in the playoffs so I would be very happy with that.
Revis maybe depending on how much money he wants?: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Patriots not picking up $20 million option in Darrelle Revis' contract; now set to become free agent Tuesday.</p>— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) <a href="https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/575017683005095938">March 9, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
