    Team record though.

If he's played enough games for MVP consideration, he's played enough games for OKC's record to work against him.

Assuming of course you feel team record should factor into the MVP discussion. Everyone has their own feel for what an MVP is.

Leave OKC? He will be OKC once Durant leaves and it is what Russell wants imo. He will be fighting for that 8th spot.

OKC had 3 out of the top 5/6 players in the league on their team and they threw it away because of money. Crazy!!!!!!!!

They could have potentially had Westbrook/Harden/Durant/Ibaka/Tyson Chandler, but no... Thankfully they are in a small market with a cheap owner. Can't wait to see that arena half empty once Durant leaves and Westbrook puts up empty stats tbh.

Westbrook's record without Durant isn't very good

To be fair to Westbrook. That is a lot of money sitting on the pine when Durant is injured.

To be fair, the Thunder dont have a legit backup for Duran.

Reggie Jackson can be a starter on most teams in the league, and he was the backup for WB last year.

I'm sure if you give OKC a decent starting SF, they would perform better.

They started off 2-13 with him being out. Ever since he's got back they're 31-16.

The Rockets are 30-16 during that same span.

And he's marginally better statistically than Harden while Harden has done it for 13 games longer.

This is a tough one guys

lol I would say averaging higher stats across the board (although not by a lot) in 3 less minutes coming back from injury should decently make up for playing only 13 games (or 20%) less.

You're right. It is a tough one. But unlike you I'm not being sarcastic. I'd still give the edge to Harden but it's neck and neck right now

His team record includes games in which he didn't play and they couldn't win a game without him. If Harden missed the next ten games and the Rockets went 0-10 would you hold it against his MVP candidacy?

His last game against Raptor is impressive, now ..if Durant accept to be the 2nd guy, they have a good chance at winning the title. Kanter alone is the reason why WB get at least 5 assists a game.
