You really need to stop this madness. Jones is playing well above your expectations and you refuse to give this man credit. It's crazy how you keep on trying to finds ways to validate your misinformed, incorrect and horrendous evaluation on this young man's game.

    Just stop it man

Struggled finishing today, but he had 11 rebounds.

Coming into this season I was very down on Jones. He had 3 liabilities, all of which are pivotal for an NBA PF. He was a terrible defender, a mediocre rebounder, and a poor shooter. He's still not a reliable shooter, but his defense and rebounding have taken huge leaps right now. I'm still not fully on board the Jones bandwagon, because this is a very small sample. We'll see if he regresses, but he has looked great over these last 10.

People really need to chill with the Jones is god, d-mo is a scrub, d-mo is god, Jones is a scrub nonsense.

Haven't been able to check out the game yet, but judging by the box score looks like he has a rough game tonight.

I do like the 11 boards though, big test Wednesday against Aldridge.

I think we are very lucky to have two contrasting young bigs in Tjones and Dmo.

Honestly, I think that is what I love the most. They are so different and can get the job done in different ways. It allows you to matchup with whatever the other team throws at you and also allows you to create matchup issues for the opposition. Oddly enough, the addition of Josh Smith also adds and interesting additional curve ball to the lineup. He is quite unique as well in regards to his skill set and the way he plays the game. A lot of people used to compare Jones to Smith, but they really don't play much alike at all. Their skill sets overlap in a few areas as far as being athletic guys that can defend smaller players in space, handle the ball, and block shots, but watching them play together really puts a spotlight on how truly different they are.

Yeah, he still has way to go as a consistent scorer but he is by far the better rebounder.

Nothing to really be concerned about here. He missed a bunch of shots that he normally makes. They rolled around the rim and fell off. Every player in the NBA has a few games like this a year where you are just "snakebit" as they say. Jones has proven that he can make a high percentage of the shots he takes. He has done so for over a year now.

He's been a consistent score ever since Mchale put him back into the starting lineup. This is the only game his offense wasn't there.

Is this a real thing? I admit I don't read all the threads or anything but I haven't seen any D-Mo's a scrub stuff since he turned his corner months ago.

Corey Brewer and Josh Smith say STFU

Who cares about the second unit's shooting percentage. They have an identity that is killing teams. The Rockets don't win a lot of the last few games without the second unit and mostly Corey Brewer instantly changing the tempo of the game and getting easy baskets.

As far as shooting with the second unit in the playoffs, Smith and Brewer aren't really shooting from the corners anyways. Terry, Ariza, Bev, etc. are swapping out as corner shooters with this unit. Bev had his slump as they all have but I believe in these 3 guys as shooters come playoff time.

The Josh Smith 3's... Well you live with it if it keeps him in the game and allows him the enthusiasm to do everything else that he does at an elite level.

Our whole team clanks jumpers. The 2nd unit has a clear identity and style of play and it works night in and night out.

It's much more fun to appreciate it than constantly try to nitpick.

Mr. Batman we will always have a select few who talks down on these players. But the mass majority is not considering Dmo as a scrub and I most definitely don't see anybody praising Jones like he's a God.

    Agreed.

With the addition of Brewer and Smith our bench brigade has been one of the best in the NBA. What holic said could be addressed to every team in the NBA. Lol some of the things this man says is off the chains.

Every time I see this thread title I think it's someone who wants us to all recognize and acknowledge that Jones is black.
