    of topic...but does anyone else struggle with the spelling of "resign" when talking about free agents.

    like this, "Is Rip Hamilton resigning or re-signing."

    The thing about resign vs re-sign is that athletes never actually resign; they retire. So in the end its only annoying if you aren't comfortable with the context.

    I live in Dallas and the popular opinion is that the trade was a mistake.

    So, I hope he resigns.
