It's helps that Trevor isn't taking 7 or 8 bad threes a game. He isn't forcing his shots nearly as much, leaving better shots for Jones and Beverly.

Harden is about ready to join only five players in the history of the NBA to have

    >25 ppg
    >7 apg
    >5 rpg

    they are:

    Oscar
    John
    Larry
    Michael
    Lebron

    footnote: Westbrook will, too

Out of those players, only Oscar and Lebron did it at a younger age

The return of a healthy Howard in due course, will decrease the pressure on Harden, and this should lead to a better shooting percentage.

Lack of a reliable second option has been good for his game, which has certainly been taken to a new level...and he's 25.

This is the main reason I really didn't get too hyped about getting a "play-making pg", and feel like Dwight needs to play more the "Deandre Jordan" role. We need that person to roll and cut hard to the basket for Harden to pass it to. Then when defense collapses around the basket we have our spot up shooters on the perimeter. That's why having TJones back has been a breath of fresh air. He moves well without the ball. Needless to say, Harden needs to be "the man" on this team. No one else.

He has become a transcendent talent and seems to have taken the "take what the defense gives you" approach to a new level. I'm thrilled about the fact that he's not really performing based on athleticism either. There's something to be said about the way Westbrook makes his plays vs how Harden does it. I will say this, what they were teaching in OKC sure seems to have done wonders for the then trio of Westbrook, Durant, and Harden. I guess it's the way he swings the ball in front of him. The way he's playing now, he's unstoppable if his teammates are hitting their shots.

The most noticeable change I have seen from him after the ASB is his crossover to the right. Before, his cross to the left was much better than going the other direction and that is why the defense forces him to his weaker side. Lately, either direction is equally as effective. He can get to the lane easier and either score or a dime.

    Difference between Harden and Westbrook.

Harden can take a back seat and still get his.

    He plays on schedule.

[rQUOTEr] As much as it has been often said that James Harden is effectively the Rockets’ point guard, that has become truer since the All Star break – or he is just getting better at it. With his 12 assists on Friday, Harden has had at least 10 in four of his past five games, averaging 10.5 assists in that stretch. His shot has been a bit off, especially from the 3-point line, with Harden making 41.4 percent of his attempts and 26.1 percent on his 3s, in that stretch, but he creates so much offense for the Rockets, not only with his playmaking but by so often drawing two defenders far from position to rotate back, that he more than makes up for misfiring on occasion. He net rating of 107.9 points per 100 possessions in the past five games is a half-point better than his net rating overall this season, indicating that like most point guard he can best be measured by the success of the Rockets’ offense, rather than his own scoring.

It's crazy how the fans of Lin are exact opposite of Jeremy himself.

I miss Jeremy Lin but his fans are not worth it.

Who is "John"? Stockton? Havlicek? Wall? Salley?

I know those other guys can go by one name, but I'm not sure "john" is one of them.
